Thompson, who holds a UT offer and visited Texas last week (also visited for junior day), will announce a commitment next Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at his school.
Thompson has had a few other schools high on his list, including North Carolina, Miami and Arizona State, but the Longhorns have been the leader in this one for a while.
I'm out of state for the next couple days but I'm supposed to talk to Thompson when I get back in town to do a preview story of his decision.
