I think the best way to describe the staff reaction after Jonah Williams visited Austin on Thursday is “cautiously optimistic.”
I was told everybody in the building feels really good about the visit. Steve Sarkisian and Williams seemingly hit it off when the 5-star safety/baseball star was in Austin for the pool party. Williams had the opportunity to FaceTime Jim Schlossnagle for about 10 minutes during the visit.
In addition, there is a feeling that Williams has a top-two, not top-three, and Texas is on his short list.
Clearly, there are a lot of factors that will influence his eventual decision.
As of Friday morning, the staff is happy to be in the mix.

Speaking of @Alex Dunlap , get ready for the return of Football With Friends on Monday. @CodyCarpentier and Alex will combine and conduct the show Monday through Friday at 6 p.m. I will be back to a solo show full of guests.
