Texas is as physical as any team in college football. The old days of people saying Texas is soft are gone. Every time I hear Sark speak, he emphasizes being physical, and it is obvious that he has done a great job of developing that culture.
Everyone raves about Sark as an OC, and how his schemes are ahead of the game. Many people are missing the boat on PK’s Defensive schemes. The first couple of years I had my doubts about PK, but he has shown to be an elite game planner, and a great defensive play caller. I think coming out of the box, and getting on the field, has made a huge difference for him.
The Texas coaching staff has done an excellent job with player development. Texas has a number of NFL ready guys on both sides of the ball. I do not think we will see any more draft days where no Texas players are drafted. This staff not only develops 4 and 5 star guys into day one draft choices, they are turning 3 star guys, and walk-ons, into draft choices.
11-1 and playing for the SEC Championship in year 1. Oklahoma barely Bowl eligible, and A&M stuck in their usual 8-4. It is a great time to be a Longhorn fan.
