Former LSU quarterback Brandon Harris is slated to visit Texas, according to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate. Harris has three of a possible four visits scheduled so far.
Here is what Dellenger wrote:
Harris will first visit North Carolina on March 24 before taking visits to Texas and Arizona, he said Saturday evening. The Bossier City native is expected to visit one more school, he said, but he declined to reveal that program. Harris says he could transfer to a Southeastern Conference school.
Harris announced last month that he’d graduate over the summer and transfer from LSU. If he graduates, he’d be immediately eligible to play next season at a major conference program.
Harris, a 6-2, 210-pound rising senior, started 15 games for the Tigers over his three seasons in Baton Rouge. Coaches replaced Harris with Danny Etling in the second game of last season. Harris never played again.
Texas quarterbacks Shane Buechele and Sam Ehlinger are currently competing for a starting position. Obviously, in order for Harris to sign with Texas, he will likely want to know he has a chance to play right away.
We will check into the situation on our end and give you an update when we have more information.
