I don't hardly ever post over here but I do like to read up about you guys. Anyway, I read an article yesterday stating that your new AD is wanting to revive games with Texas A&M. Was wondering what the fan base felt about this.
100% correct.I would think casual fans would like it because it's a historic rivalry. The fan base that lives on internet boards are more die hard and probably think aggy can go screw themselves.
No interest. Don’t miss playing them even a little bit.
If we’re going to resurrect a dead (and lopsided) rivalry, I’d rather play Arkansas again. At least that program has accomplished something in living memory.
How many times are we going to make a thread about this?
They've replaced burnt orange daddy with Roll Tide daddyWe do not need this game anymore.
The talking heads are already complaining that the SEC schedules to many cupcakes and adding the lornhorns to our schedule would only make them worse.
I don’t,I miss that game on thanksgiving and they do toI would think casual fans would like it because it's a historic rivalry. The fan base that lives on internet boards are more die hard and probably think aggy can go screw themselves.
We no longer want to play in the pit of misery. The talking heads are already complaining that the SEC schedules to many cupcakes and adding the lornhorns to our schedule would only make them worse.
We have to beat LSU before Saban will adopt us. He can't be everyone's daddy. They've replaced burnt orange daddy with Roll Tide daddy
Well I guess you traded one daddy in for multiple daddy'sWe have to beat LSU before Saban will adopt us. He can't be everyone's daddy.
If you got to have a daddy, it might as well be the The Daddy.
Game does not help us. Could only hurt. You have your rivalry so what's the point.

The Student Body at UT had a referendum vote on reviving the rivalry and I think it was about 97% in favor. I suspect it would be in favor at A&M, but probably more in the 60% range with casual fans voting yes. Most Aggies that are pretty big football fans would rather play Clemson, UCLA, etc in a non-conference game.
I call bullshit on that. Cite your reference material that shows this "referendum" or GTFO
