Best bet is we switch to a 3-4 defense.
So what round is he projected? If not in at least in round 3 then why?It looked to me he is not a finished product to hit the big time.
Thank you,it could also be a grade issue but not sure. One site has him projected as the no. 5 nose tackle in the upcoming draft. The no. 5 nose tackle went in the sixth round last year.
Maybe his family has some pressing financial issues. If not, it's not a very smart decision.
I get your point. BUT - 21 year olds don't always make the best decisions, and certainly don't have the benefit of full life experience. SI ran an article a few years ago (link below) that 78% of NFL players file bankruptcy or are in financial stress with 2 years of retirement. 78%! It pains me to see these kids have the opportunity to get a leg up on life at an early age, then blow it all due to (a) being idiots, or (b) more likely, not having sufficient education on budgeting, financial management, etc. I don't know Mr. Ridgeway, his personal circumstances, his grades, etc. I do know he is a solid college DT, and based on what I have read, he has a chance, but no guaranty, of a job at the next level. All things being equal, the player is better off with another year of college experience with very few exceptions. Good luck Mr. Ridgeway in whatever you choose. My hope is you are looking at the long term.I wish he was staying, but I dont blame him for trying. I am always amazed at how so many people volunteer to help someone spend their money. You see it everywhere.Someone wins the lottery....or they get a big bonus....or get an inheritance ....folks come out of the wood work to tell them what they ought to do with the money. Most of those folks havnt a clue what to do with their own money, but that doesnt stop the advice.
....." it's your money....spend it when you need it".........JG Wentworth
And so what are we supposed to do about our dline?
Tired of this leaving for NFL crap, why did they ever come to college for? guess its the only way to get to the Pros..
yup, or they would be working at Dairy Queen otherwise, 2 yrs of college doesn't make you a Pro, it makes you a dumb ProBecoming a professional is one of the reasons people go to college

or grades and can't do College level workI think when a guy leaves under these circumstances (likely undrafted) that it's usually either financial issues or he isn't getting along with the staff.
