RIP Mike Brumley

It is sad to say a fellow longhorn has passed yesterday night in a car wreck in Mississippi at the age of 61.

He was a member of our 83 Natty team and former starting shortstop playing with Roger Clemens, Calvin Schiraldi and Bruce Ruffin.

Former major league infielder, coach and instructor Mike Brumley was killed in a car crash on Saturday night. He was 61.

I will never forget watching Mike catch the pop fly to win the Natty in 1983.
