RRR game will be on FS1 this year

Yes Texas did beat Ou and congratulations. I remind Oklahoma fans of that on a regular basis when they laugh at Texas. However I'm hoping beating OU has not become y'alls Superbowl. There is more to the season than one game. Don't become Oklahoma State fans, I give y'all more credit than that

I would consider that more Aggie thinking that Okie lite. Aggies would be happy if they went 1-11 and the 1 win was Texas

We're not OSU fans. Also, we've won a more recent national title than you btw. Just pointing out that it's dumb for $ooner fans to say UT is bad when we just stuffed it down your throats easily. Now change the topic again.

Or what, if we don't make the playoffs, we can't enjoy a win over blowu? Sorry, that's not how it works and it doesn't make us OSU or aggy. We have scoreboard and get to enjoy it for a whole year whether you think we should be able to or not. Beating you criminal cheaters is always fun no matter what.

Where did I say I was happy with the season? Oh I didn't. Thanks for chiming in.

Too bad the season is based on more than that one game, that's what I tried to get you to realize.

If you could read and/or were honest, you'd see I already acknowledged that. Never said we had a great season.

But too bad you're too stupid to realize calling a team bad that thumped you is retarded. I can point that out whether you want to acknowledge THAT regardless of the rest of our season.

Never said that you did. I was just saying that if a team were to get pumped over winning 1 game it would be Aggie, step back from the ledge

Sorry about all of you $ooners getting your panties in a bunch, but I can enjoy our win over you punks. If we were so bad, then embarrassing for you for getting run over by us. And if you don't want to hear it, go away, geniuses.

Scholz I warned you the other day I won't get into any back and forth childish bickering. I'm not here for that. Name calling as well as immature responses is not my style. One of your fellow posters advised me to block you so thats what I'll do. Good luck to your team

By no means are Texas fans pleased with 2015, despite embarrassing OU (far worse than the score showed) and beating Baylor. Even if we'd beaten Cal, OkSU and TT, lost by a total of 7 points (as officiated), we wouldn't have been happy.

It was very embarrassing losing to your team, I'll admit it. I think every team that lost to Texas the last couple of years are embarrassed. Not a knock against Texas in general.

Ohio State is the most watched program in the country...always the number 1 rated game always involves them every year. Facts

Really? Check the NBC contract numbers. One game isn't an entire season of ratings.

You do realize that Ohio State only plays a few nationally televised games a year? Most are regional to the Midwest.

Notre Dame plays at minimum 9 nationally televised games a year?

So while OSU is televised every week in Ohio & surrounding states, ND is on in every single state.

Facts.

Last year Ohio State was on the national ABC broadcast 6 times, ABC/ESPN 2 - 3 times, ESPN 1 time, BTN 2 times. They were on in every state every week last year.

First, cable networks such as ESPN & BTN are not considered national games like ABC, CBS, NBC & Fox, since they are in less than half of households across America.

Second, Since 1991 ND has been on in every state on national TV.

According to Forbes & Hngn, after NBC signed the extension with ND until 2025, ND is the most watched college football team in the contract's lifetime to date (so last 24 seasons).

There is a reason ABC chose ND/Texas over OSU/OU & the reason is purely financial.

Billionaires don't make decisions because they are listening to people argue. They make them based off of facts. What will get them the most money?

Why would ABC choose ND/Texas over a top 5 matchup of OSU/OU?
Why would NBC sign a contract for 34 years (35 seasons) to date (1991-2025) with a single team & not a conference?
Why would CBS (who had the SEC) buy the rights to the ND/Navy away games for the same price they pay for the CBS game of the week?
Why does ABC pay more for ND at USC than for any other OOC game in the country?

Money.

Yes but you said "So while OSU is televised every week in Ohio & surrounding states, ND is on in every single state."

I was simply pointing out that OSU was on in every single state every single week last year

I have come to believe that UT, Tech, TCU, OU and Ok St. will all leave the Big 12 and go elsewhere in 4 or 5 years.

I think UT, Tech, TCU and BYU end up in the PAC 16 and form the PAC WEST Div along with Utah, Colorado and the AZ schools.

OU and OK. ST go to the Big 16. UT keeps it's yearly game against OU. Kansas goes to the ACC along with ND. Baylor, K ST. and Iowa ST. get left behind.
The PAC will not add a TCU or BYU. No religious school will be in that conference but I do look for the PAC to be proactive in trying to get UT and OK in the next 5 years. So look for TT and OSU to be package to make up the PAC 16. That would be a nice conference with the 4 BIG12 schools to go along with the 2 AZ schools and CURRENT and Utah to make up the eastern part of the conference

Big 12 is in tact as long as the grant of rights are in place. No changes in any current power 5 member until 2024

Agreed, but that doesn't mean that the deal-making (i.e., the "proactive" part) won't start a few years before then. Unless something makes it clear that no one is leaving when the GOR is up, I'd be shocked if the conversations didn't start by around 2022. Both the conferences, and the schools looking to move (if there are any) will want to know where they stand...

Really strange that they already made the call that it will be on FS1, not Fox. Makes me wonder what they plan on showing in their before-noon or early-afternoon slot (since that's when this game is always played).

Fox has the rites to the OU-Texas game but will have to put it on FS1 as Fox also has the MLB playoffs that need to be on Fox that day due to it's contract with MLB.

When you get knocked out of the prime slot, you have to MAKE them put you back in it. The way to do that is to win so many games they have to put you back in the good time slots. Nothing will help this year, but next year is up for grabs. Should Texas beat ND and go into the RRS undefeated, and OU is playing as good as we have been told they are on this board, the National audience might be pissed being shut out

Texas is 61-44 against ou all time and that lead won't change in your lifetime. No arbitrary time frames are necessary for Longhorns.

Lhcrazy congratulations you guys owned Ou when my grandpappy was just a toddler. However during modern football I believe it's pretty even and Oklahoma has more national championships. I'm not saying those wins long ago don't matter or count, I'm just saying your average football fan bases more emphasis on last 50 years or so. I consider you guys more respectable than Michigan, please don't change that for me lol. Those guys have a lot of wins and have won lots of head to head battles but 1/2 title to show for it since 1950

Yes, "modern" football. lulz. ou fans are so retarded and dishonest on this argument. We're even in national titles without the 1950s btw.
