Well kids, if we were in year 3 of this contract, he'd have been fired. But since we are in year 1, he won't be-- but he also won't be here for the transition to the SEC.

Was nice knowing ya, Sark.

Not so fast. I think sark is doing us a favor by shining the light on the cockroaches on our roster. His fate will be determined this off season by the roster ads he does through the portal. This roster needs to be purged. All graduates need to be shown the door.

Listen to what I'm saying--- Sark will NOT be coaching here after the transition to the SEC.

I disagree.
We are in year 1, so he won’t be fired. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, he’s playing with the cards he was dealt, and yes, they suck. The purge needs to happen and I believe it will.
If seeing the same results after year 3, then it’s a different conversation.
I also believe he will be the coach during the move to the sec, whenever that is (does anyone know)? He is CDC’s hire, so he gets a little more rope.

This team lacks talent, look at who is left from those great recruiting classes. Not many. I don’t think Saban could coach these guys to a win. You see who is willing to leave it on the field, (BJ, Worthy, Roschon). There is zero fire in these guys. They need to play replay this game non stop on those damn monitors above their lockers, play it over and over on every tv in the athletic dept. Maybe will sink in who or what this team really is.

Sark’s offense is putting up good points in spite of the hobbling OL. He will be okay if he acts as a CEO. I was giving PK a chance until last night. That sealed the deal for me. It just isn’t working-not even a little to where you can see any positives. I disagree on the talent thing-just putting that out there

Have 1 on 1 meetings with each player and let them know what they should expect next season. Be frank and tell some that they will be on the bench unless absolutely necessary and they should think about the portal after the season. Fill up roster will transfers and underclassmen who want to play here. Build for the future. And BTW get a real defensive coordinator and not another with an exotic scheme.

Pete K runs a 2-4-5 scheme for the most part. Those 2 linemen have to be studs in order for his system to thrive. We just don’t have those guys right now. If those guys can’t eat up double teams then they allow the offensive lineman to get up to the second level and that’s exactly what they are doing.
The LBs and secondary are hot garbage as well.

I disagree. The team is talented but they don’t have heart. The players have quit on Sark. This is not the same team that blew out Rice and put 70 against Tech. They are regressing and getting worse with every game.

I think Herman would’ve gotten more out of these players.

Sark will be back next year, but going out with a 7-game losing streak isn't good for any coaches career. If there isn't drastic improvement, he won't make it past next year. That said, I can't think of any coach right now who can turn this program around.

Urban Meyer is probably the only guy who can. Who knows, maybe he’s available next year after realizing he’s not cut out for the NFL.

Not Sark. We've got another season or two in the Big12 before the move--- unless of course, ESPN gets out their check book and pays off the Big12.
If we go in 2023 then Sark is done after next year…question is who the heck wants to to take over our program going into that conference???

And yet, Harbaugh is 8-1. We would have fired him 3 years ago. If you want out of the hole, you'll have to stop digging. It's time to grow up, stop throwing tantrums, and let a staff do some work.

I would add that our AD needs to allow our staff to use whatever means necessary to win.

I think it’s a fluke year for Michigan. The big ten sucks this year. I don’t expect him to continue having this same success after this year.

We are much more akin to Berkeley or Palo Alto than Tuscaloosa or Clemson. Until we come to that realization, we'll continue to hire and fire every 3 years because we didn't reach the CFB playoffs. Rinse and repeat.

There are only 2 (maybe 3) coaches that could arguably have success within the current Berkeley-esque environment. 2 of them aren't coming.

If we continue with this rinse and repeat strategy of hiring/firing every 3 years, no one worth their salt will ever want to come here for reasons other than a big payday and buy-out. Let Sark and company continue to purge and reshuffle the roster and see where we are in a few years.

Until then, life is a lot easier when one acknowledges we're currently Berkeley not Tuscaloosa. Facts are a stubborn thing.

And stay out of the way especially Etifl.

I'm just a fan and I don't know if it would have done any good but I just don't understand why any of our freshman played especially on defense. It hurts me in the stomach to watch these guys on the d.

It’s not like texas didn’t give Charlie and Herman a chance. Any school would’ve fired them for their performance. Regarding Herman I think it was more of an attitude thing + performance. It’s well known that he is an absolute dick and an arrogant prick. He was also talking bad about recruits publicly (Ewers). It’s like he was purposely trying to get fired.

Herman had a couple things working against him

the current admin didn’t hire him, and he has several examples of immature, unprofessional, sometimes inappropriate behavior. Plus the results on the field wasn’t great.

Agreed. I don’t think the boosters liked him either. If he was just a decent likable guy and none of the inappropriate behavior, then I think UT keeps him for another year or two despite his on field performance.

I agree. It’s kinda funny that the boosters soured on Herman so quickly since they were the ones really behind his hire lol
