I'm back at the Georgia Dome today for the Underclassmen Challenge. A few quick-hitter notes on some of the players I talked to during check in.
Yoakum WR Joshua Moore - Picked up an offer after UT's mini-camp last week. So did his twin brother, Jordan. Jordan is camping at Texas again today. Joshua decided to come out here after taking a visit to Georgia. Joshua told me this morning that Texas is his leader. Jordan said the same thing last weekend.
Sachse QB Jalen Mayden - Still talking to Texas a lot. Visited a few schools out here this week (Georgia, Auburn). Keeps in touch with Sterlin Gilbert. Gilbert told him they're taking it slowly with their QB evaluations.
Lovejoy LB Bumper Pool - Picked up an Alabama offer last week. Is in contact with Texas. The coaches told him they'd like to get him on campus, get their eyes on him and then an offer could come. Pretty open but likes Texas quite a bit.
Prestonwood Christian Academy DB Verone McKinley III - Is in contact with Vance Bedford and Clay Jennings quite a bit. McKinley has tons of offers. Texas has expressed serious interest but no offers yet. Said if the Longhorns do offer, they'll definitely be in the mix.
