I followed the UT admissions thread the past few weeks, just did a little digging into these demographics and student populations as there were many complaints. This is not meant to be political(but it will, I just Corral'ed it)), just wanted to share what I found, as it was surprising. These may be off by a percent or 2, as I looked at several publications.
I am 100% for the best and brightest being accepted, I'm sure the Universities are doing their best, just found some of these numbers interesting about the current State of Texas
Texas Grades k-12 in 2023 (Elementary, Middle, & High School)
Hispanics 53%
White 26%
Blacks 13%
Asians 5%
Men 51%
