Once Texas football coach Tom Herman stepped off the podium after Big 12 Media Days, he looked at me and smiled.
Anwar: "Are we connected, coach?"
Herman reached out his hand, gave me a huge smile and said, "We're always connected, Anwar."
He gave me a bro hug and proceeded to conduct interviews off the podium. When Herman started giving injury updates, I was a few feet away and unaware of what was going on at the time, but he stopped and made sure I was included in the conversation.
