We (presumably) have 2 more seasons with Sam at the helm but after that, with the way QB recruiting has shaped up, we will have a very loaded QB room competing for the starting gig.

From oldest to youngest, the QB room will have (with composite recruit score and overall rank):
RS Junior Casey Thompson - 0.9021 #291
RS (likely) Sophomore Roschon Johnson - 0.9111 #237
RS Freshmen JaQuinden Jackson - 0.9697 #55
RS Freshmen Hudson Card - 0.9684 #59
True Freshmen Jalen Milroe - 0.9651 #74

Expect some attrition (likely the #2 out of Thompson and Johnson, and maybe one of Jackson or Card) but that is the standard at the QB position these days. Either way, we will have some great options in the QB room.

I haven't heard anything to that point. Not sure if he is here if we aren't giving him a shot.
I'm not convinced that he couldn't turn into a guy similar to Vince. Clearly not as flat out fast as VY, but still the running threat. Has better throwing mechanics now that Vince ever had and will only get better. Also that DOG mentality that Vince had. Vince was a guy that had the mindset of if the clock as :01 on it and I have the ball and we have to go 50 yards to win, we are going to win. I see that same type of IT from JQJ

JQJ is getting first shot at QB. If he can't cut it then they will likely move him to another spot. According to the recruiting sites he could play safety or linebacker. After watching his film I'd also throw in runningback.

He reminds me of a smaller Cam Newton.

JQJ is a beast. He plays 6A Texas High School football which is the best in the country. He and Milroe have some serious arm strength. If they are patient, I could see them dominating.

Yes he plays at Duncanville. He was impressive running against North Shore.
