Super Bowl

I've become a Raiders fan the last two years but then Derek Carr got injured. No Derek Carr no SB trophy. Then I thought well how about the Giants? And when they pulled to within 14/13 I thought here comes Eli Manning on his way to another SB run. I turned off the tv because of church business. I come home and I found out the Packers won 38/13 :(

I say Seattle now in the NFC because I like Pete Carroll. The dude is just Joe Cool. Now watch Atlanta win.

I say Kansas City because they haven't won in a long time.

Anybody but Green Bay or Dallas. Or New England. But like Steven A Smith I'm convinced that Jerry Jones is going to find a way to get front and center with the team and screw it up. And if NE gets in again I want all possible security on Brady and Bellichek. Do everything possible to keep them from cheating again.

I went undefeated this past weekend so here goes it:

NE over Houston (predicable blowout)
KC over Pitt (the media is all over the Steelers jock, luck runs out here)

Atl over Seattle (these 2 had a great matchup earlier when Seattle won in a disputed ending, the falcons get revenge
Dallas over GB (see same analysis of KC/Pitt game, the media seems desperate for steelers/packers in SB)

And if NE gets in again I want all possible security on Brady and Bellichek. Do everything possible to keep them from cheating again.

Being a Pats fan myself, I easily understand if someone doesn't like them. But it's because they win. It's the reason that for a long time my favorite baseball team was the Not-The-Yankees, and also why I hope Clemson can come back and win tonight.

But just be honest about it. It's because the Pats win. The whole cheating thing is just an excuse. Anyone who did any research into Deflategate should easily conclude that the Pats got railroaded. The NFL decided they were guilty, then started to investigate.

And the fact that the footballs before Super Bowl 49 probably had tighter security than the POTUS, and Brady proceeded to shred one of the best defenses in the past decade and completed a Super Bowl record 38 passes, perhaps the whole thing was overblown.

He said the Pats got railroaded! Haha haha haha haha!

Yes, as were the Saints and Sean Payton in Bountygate and the Dolphins in that bullying scandal.

Goodell has a terrible habit of making up his mind on something and then hiring someone to "prove" that conclusion.

But yeah, whatever ESPN reported in the first two days is all the truth you need.

Bronco fan here so I really couldn't care less so long as Dallas doesn't win. It's hard to imagine Cowboy fans being more annoying, just wait if they win.

going for the nfl experience deal they do with the super bowl. pretty cool especially if you have little kids

Dallas fans are in a league of their own. When they lose, crickets...when they win "we dem boyz". Act like you've been there.

No, Dallas fans are really no better or worse than any other fan base. IMO, the most arrogant/delusional/obnoxious fan bases are Philadelphia (#1 and its not even close), Pittsburgh, New England, Houston (mainly for their weird obsession/hatred with anything Cowboys), Oakland (wack job, violent fans), Green Bay, and Seattle.

I think it depends on where you live. Cowboy and Saints fans are annoying to me. If you're a Cowboy fan in Htown it's probably a Texan fan.

I live in Houston and I'm a die-hard Cowboys fan. Houston fans are the most idiotic, delusional, obnoxious, insecure, strange fans I've ever encountered. They are a looney tune group for sure. =)roll

There's no reason to root for an NFL team. I do sometimes watch the NFL, some, since the athleticism, execution and coaching are all very good. Plus, there's no CFB right now. But who's to say that the Cowboys won't be in California someday? The Oilers disappeared in a flash. And who's to say I won't move to another place?

Besides, I'm in central Texas. Devoid of NFL teams. Why root for stuck-up Dallas and anything connected with Jerry Jones? Why root for hot, humid Houston?

There's no rationale. No lasting connection. It's like being a t-shirt fan of a college team. No thanks.

To add to this, most Texans

I'm a t-shirt fan. What's wrong with that? Didn't attend UT at all but have family that did and an old school mate that played there.

The reason I root for our NFL team is the same reason we root for our MLB and NBA team it's part of the city I grew up in. Yeah the Oilers left and that's just how things go but now we have the Texans. I understand your point though you live in a part of Texas that's not tied to anything and possibly didn't get to see pro sports in person growing up.

Do you think you are maybe a bit biased? I mean, we are all biased towards our Longhorns here and that's fine but this is an OT post. I remember you spewing hate on Houston during pre-season. Here they are in the divisional round of playoffs despite poor QB play (I'm guessing they lose this week against SB bound Pats).

Our defense has been great (and that's without Watt) this year. Next year if we get a healthy Watt back and QB can get straightened out (story of my life with Longhorns and Texans) they can be even better.

pv=nrT. The pressure in a confined space(ball) goes down when the ball moves from a heated locker room to the field outside. A ball at normal pressure when inside will be lower on the field outside.

Super Bowl week will bring plenty of stars to Houston, and it also will bring Johnny Manziel to town, at least for two autograph sessions at local shopping malls.

The Texas A&M Heisman Trophy winning quarterback will be at the Stadium Signatures stores in Katy Mills Mall from 7-8 p.m. Feb. 2 and Woodlands Mall from 7-8 p.m. Feb. 3. The Stadium Signature stores are advertising the appearances on their Facebook page.

Manziel will charge $99 to sign any item, plus $29 extra if you want him to write a special inscription up to four words. There also will be a $99 charge for a professional photo, but only a $50 charge if it's a selfie.

For those interested, tickets to the signing can be reserved by calling the Stadium Signatures stores - Katy Mills Mall (281-574-4704) and Woodlands Mall (281-651-5736)

Wonder if he'll take a selfie for some booger sugar?

I can't imagine anyone wanting Manziel to sign something or have their picture taken with him and actually pay the douche bag for it. Hell, he ought to pay people for that, and not the other way around. =)roll

For the record, I have nothing against T-shirt fans. Bully for you! :)

It just makes no sense TO ME  if no one you know and love attended. So I won't be shocked if some T-shirt fans -- not you, Drew; it seems that you're long-term committed  -- later root for a different school.

I get what you're saying. By the way I've been committed since 97. Even if my daughter ends up at A&M  I'll still be a Longhorn fan. Been a CFB fan for life though!
