To be fair, I think Miss St is a better team than they’ve been given credit for.

Rumors are you wanted Franklin. But why would he take a step down from tradition rich footballschool to a n m. Not happening. Maybe a good teams coordinator orposition coach would be best.
The Smu coach is an alum of A&m,former OC at clemson and knows how to recruit in Texas so he is a maybe at this point.
I was hoping that aggy would win enough to keep Sumlin around, but he's gone. I've heard Chad Morris' name mentioned quite a bit. Franklin would be smart to stay at Penn State. He's got a traditional power well positioned and the future looks bright there. Going to a&m would be a lateral move for him, and that makes no sense.
MSU is not bad. But, Aggie moved to the SEC thinking they would win more than in the Big 12. Lol.
But they played Bama close. Thats just as good as a win. Sumlin's on the right track. So I've been told.
Sumlin isn’t the greatest coach ever but I’m not sure anyone would come in and do a lot better. Considering they are rolling with a freshman QB who shows promise it’s been a solid year. They are an 8 to maybe 10 win program on a good year. That’s what thry are. Not sure a new coach changes that really
Aggie has all the resources and the recruiting base to compete in the SEC & on the national level.
And to think that they've had some of their best teams while we've had some of our worst.
They could have taken out their frustration on mean ol Texas & possibly a conference championship or 2 but instead we have eternal scoreboard.....all during our darkest days. LoL! Oh the irony!

There is gonna be an insane number of jobs open this year. I don’t know if they track these thing but might be recored. The SEC alone may have 5-6 itself.

That is not true. I expected to get killed for years. Then Johnny hit, and we were the it school for 15 minutes. Sumlin blew it. Boosters let hatred of Sumlin kill recruiting. We need to reboot regardless.
And speaking of job openings look for Kliff Kingsbury to get pink slipped after the Texas game.

He’s gonna make someone a nice OC. I think he can coach just got the job before he was ready in a place where it’s hard to win.
I agree, except Sumlin's mishandling of the QB position is why they are starting a freshman. That being said he's a good enough coach to not let the bottom completely fall out.
sumlin is a good coach. i don't know who they're going to get that is better. i know they THINK they're getting chip kelly (who hates recruiting-- i think that's a bad fit for the sec and the state os Texas) or james franklin (as someone else said... why would he do that?). one d-a ag said they think they can get dabo. THE dabo. not another random dabo, but THE DABO. as in swinney. they're getting chad morris. and he's a nice dude and all, but i don't think that pushes them past bama. or auburn. or LSU. or, crap, mississippi state unless mullen goes to florida.
You might be surprised at who would be interested in the job. That being said, I just don't think there is a slam dunk that would leave there current job to go anywhere. Jimbo Fisher might, but he's having his own issues right now. Would not want a Chip Kelly regardless. These buy outs are so big now also.
I don't think Tech is ready to move on from Kingsbury. He'll most likely be back next year.

come on! fischer didn't leave for LSU! why would he leave for ATM? and you wouldn't want chip kelly? the ONLY reason someone would not want kelly is the recruiting issue. if he went to a one-school state (LSU comes to mind), he would DOMINATE! he only revolutionized the game more than any coach in the last twenty years-- yeah, why would you want that??? dabo ain't going. franklin isn't going. stoops isn't going.

1) He’s not leaving Florida State unless he gets fired.
2) He’s not getting fired after one bad year.
3) Even IF he did get fired, he’s more than likely going to be swallowed up by a much bigger fish than A&M.
I’m a fan of Texas A&M, but that’s silliness.
