I posted this in the game day thread, but wanted to make sure you know Texas announced Sam Ehlinger will start against Oklahoma. Shane Buechele is available to play if necessary.
Here is the official annoucement:
"Jake McMillon sustained a hand injury in the Kansas State game. He is available today, but Terrell Cuney will start at right guard.
"Sam Ehlinger will start at quarterback and Shane Buechele is available as his backup. It will mark the second straight year that Texas has started a true freshman QB vs. Oklahoma, with Buechele starting last year. Ehlinger will be just the third true freshman QB to start for Texas in the AT&T Red River Showdown. The first was Bobby Layne in 1944."
