Texas at Baylor *** Game Thread ***

Baylor was ranked #12 ranked team in the country going into the game and few Texas fans, except FB thought we could even win.Yes,plenty of improvement needed on both sides of the ball but Thanks for the early Christmas gift,Horns,it was a nice surprise.

Surprise win...yes. But let's not act like baylor was not crippled by playing with a 4th string QB/WR. they were teaching him how to take a snap after the other QB got hurt. Either way, glad the season is over.

What a weird year. 5-7, but with a win over the conference champ, the would-have-been 2nd place team, a last second special teams error away from a win over the actual 2nd place team... and then the stuff with Cal too. And that doesn't even get into us just not showing up at ISU, a close game with Tech, etc. Really strange season.

Wow,no sugar for the Bears!!!! Texas a 21 point dog beats them on their own backyard. HooK EM!!!

I think the last time we were that big of a dog in a Big 12 game, we beat the bugeaters with "Roll Left"..... it feels nice to ruin things for Baylor, their trash coach and their retard fans ----------- looking at YOU realbear.

ok....thats enough!!!...Baylor wasnt the only team with injuries. Nobody gave a crap about us last year when we had no qb's to play...and dont give me that "the staff should have known/done better"...Yoy play the hand you are dealt. TCU had devastating injuries 2 out of the last 3 years. We had signifigant injuries ourselves this game. Do you really believe this game is even close in we have our defense healthy?

Bill Parcells said once when Dallas was goinmg into a playoff game with about 4 top players hurt...."I know 2 things...one is we are going to play this Sunday and two...no one is going to feel sorry for us.."

Year they were hurt.....so were we. they were the number 12 team in the country....probably number 2 with no one hurt....It didnt work out that way. In the 2009 natty do you think anyone gave a crap that Colt got hurt with 8 min left in the first quarter?...never a mention of it....just that Bama won....Yeah Baylor was hurt...Bryles can kiss my burnt orange ass!!!

OC, Oline coach, rb coach just to get a good start on O......then DC, Dline coach on D. Just my .02

I didn't watch a second of the game, happy for the seniors we won this last game, but I still see too much positive to take away from this season outside of beating two top 20 teams, we lost too many games due to bad game day management.

I'm glad we ended strong, and our coaches have something to sell recruits outside of playing time and a top notch education.

I hope we still have some kids that will believe in Strong enough to commit to Texas, but I won't hold my breath.

Can somebody explain to me Norvell's pass play calling? Specifically, why Bluett didn't see another target after his 57-yard TD catch and run? What happened to the slant to the slot receiver or the drag route to the WR coming behind the slot receiver? Can’t either of our QBs throw those passes? And why did Norvell wait so long to call the "Tebow play" (fake the QB run and throw short) to Beck?

It is mind numbing. Zero strategy on his play calling. Yes, our QBs aren't very good, but, there are some things they can do. Too many 3andOUTs. They weren't regular 3andOUTS, but very ugly ones. It may be possible that Watson is butt hurt from being demoted so the eyes in the tower maybe a little cloudy. Who knows.

I know I already said this but it needs to be repeated Baylor had won the last two games against Texas and that

Going into today Baylor has never beaten Texas three years in a row

They still haven't

This team and staff has a low football IQ. Dumb penalties, late hits, holding away from the play on the Hall interception. That crap is on the coaches; it's happened all year. No development of Heard this year is soooo disheartening. I'm rooting for Strong, but the poor game management all year and continual brain farts by his team can't be blamed on anyone else.

That's what's been pissing me off so much... The biggest problems are the ones easily fixed; and lack of discipline is at the top. We are our own worst enemy.

That is unacceptable.

And do you remember Baylor losing their composure in the first quarter? When that fourth string qb threw that pic to Duke Thomas he almost body slammed him? Not only that it was almost out of bounds which would have been a personal foul. They had two other pf's in the first quarter. After the DT pic their team stormed out on the field. It looked like a serious brawl was about to happen. Later on Corey Coleman their AA receiver took off his helmet and started screaming at I believe it was Holton Hill?

We came to play and they were to cocky to realize it.

Yeah, that's why he's meeting with Cumbie tomorrow.
Not sure Cumbie will come but did a hell of a job with boykin of TCU,I think TCU will match any money bid from Texas. He is a Texas kid and played QB at Tech so not real sure his feelings on Texas.

It's doubtful that TCU will want to pay as much for a co-OC as we would offer to make him full OC. If they were to match our offer, they'd have to give Meacham (and possibly other assistant coaches) a raise too.

Surprise! The refs gave us the win.

Of course. Whiny losers.
Whose whining? I was there. UT won fair and square. Injuries are part of the game. Its difficult to compete against THE University of Texas when you are lining up with a WR who can't throw a 40 yard hail mary as your QB for 3 quarters. Congratulations to the Longhorns. Just sick about what might have been this season for my Bears.

Was referring specifically to Bears fans who blame the refs every time you guys lose to us without fail. And there are many. Every time. There were also many UT starters out due to injury, FYI.
