Come on man. Getting curb stomped by TCU one week and beating OU and carrying Charlie off the field, getting shut out by ISU and then beating Baylor? That's the definition of a roller coaster.
How is it that Baylor manages to avoid playing a real game until about week 8 every year?
They have the easiest Power 5 schedule I can imagine. They have 2 ranked teams on their schedule for the entire season, and zero games against top 18 teams. I don't know if they get in the playoffs if they are undefeated. No more 3 point wins over Iowa freaking State allowed. Total avoidance of competitive scheduling.
With that schedule how could you put them in over: a one lose BIG10 team who only lost to Ohio State, a one lose ACC team who only lost to Clemson, or a one lose SEC team who only lost to Alabama? They could easily go undefeated and miss out.

Take a deep breath. This thing will work itself out. I'm just hoping for a win over KU this weekend to become bowl eligible.

I think Baylor will win 9+ this year and that is impressive considering their off season. The recruiting and transfers will begin to take their toll starting next season.
They have less than 70 kids on scholarship, you should be impressed that they have yet to fold.
I went to the SMU game in Waco. I swear there were more guys suited up for the road Ponies than the Bears.
To be fair it was Florida that was trying to weasel their way out of this game. I was thinking LSU was being difficult but that was not true. This game could have and should have been played in Florida last Sunday or Monday but UF refused.
UF knew that their best chance to win the SEC East was to not play this game. Not saying they cant win it but with Tenn likely loss to Bama tomorrow it would have put them in good shape even with their loss to the Vols.
They weren't healthy. Not saying they will be come Nov 19th, but the SEC commish said play it or you wont be considered for the title game.
Exactly. The rules state that the team with the highest win % is the division champ. If UF could have avoided LSU, they would have had a better chance to win the East. Since its at LSU and will be senior night for them I would give the nod to LSU.
This also gives TAMU an advantage in their Tgiving game against LSU. Both teams were scheduled to play mid majors the Saturday before their game.
I'm guessing you and many others were not expecting T. Knight to play as well as he has. What you are seeing is a great job by the OC and the OL coach. The running game has been huge.
And Trayveon Williams is a true freshman. He will be there for a long time.
When has he ever played a true freshmen QB and been successful? It's not all that common, Chuck didn't have much of a choice.

SEC top QBs for NFL draft all had low completion percentages compared to the spread QBs. Dak Prescott likely had the best percentage at 66 percent his senior year, both Mannings, Cutler and Stafford were all in the 50s in pro-style offenses. High percentage passing is pretty much a result of spread offenses. ATM runs well and Knight didn't have any WRs at OU.
They all lost football games, and.... Knight is a career 50% guy including Texas HS football.
The key to their offensive success has been balance. Their OL play is allowing them to run the ball effectively. Knight doesn't have that much pressure on him to win games himself.
I think he learned his lesson. Hubenak will likely be the starter next year. Kellen Mond will enroll in the Spring and could see some action but will likely not be forced into action the way Allen and Murray. After Kenny Hill couldn't get sober Sumlin really didn't have much of a choice in 2014-2015.
and it's good to finally see them with a balanced attack. His arm will cost them a game or two, that is all I'm saying. I'd say it is very likely we see him struggle next week.
His performance in a bowl game means nothing to me.
Very possible. Bama game plan is to force you to do things you are not good at. My guess is that they do everything they can to try to take away the running game, keep Knight in the pocket and make him beat them throwing. If all we do is bubble screens we will get killed. He will have to complete some deep balls. TAMU has the WR's to win this game if Knight can get the ball to them. We will see.
We won't be as good next year. Losing a lot: Garrett, Hall, Evans, probably Watts, Washington & Walker just on defense. Plus both tackles, Knight and Reynolds (supposedly RSJ as well) on offense.
I don't think our starter at QB is on campus. I am guessing Stidham. If not, Starkel or Monds.
Next year might be the year we finally play you guys in the Texas bowl. Hope not, but we will be down for sure.
Yep. He is what he is. He is an athlete, but accuracy is a problem. Wish he could get to 60% for the second half, but don't expect it.
