Does anyone know why our batters sometimes swipe their hand across the Texas logo on their jerseys after a strike or foul ball? They look into the dugout when they do it. I’m guessing it’s something to get motivated but wondering if anyone has Level 1 info?

Usually you are doing it when you get signals and that’s how you acknowledge the signal

it could just be something they are doing but that would be strange

That was my thought. Was always our confirmation of the sign growing up.

This team has done that all year back to their dugout when they get 2 strikes.

I heard it was them signaling to dugout about the team and Texas and not individual. Aka shorten swing etc w 2 strikes

It’s a sign that their boobs are itchy and they’ll need some salve when they get back to the dugout. Obviously.

This is what Austin Todd said when they interviewed him during one of the midweek games this season. It’s a reminder that it’s for “Texas” not themselves.
