Baton Rouge Southern University Lab LB Damone Clark was one of three official visitors on campus this weekend (Junior Angilau, Jarrett Jackson).

I exchanged a couple texts with Clark, who is committed to LSU, and it sounds like the visit went very well.

"The visit was awesome," Clark said.

I asked if Texas was strongly in the mix after this weekend or if he's still 100-percent locked in to LSU.

"Texas is very impressive," Clark replied.

A bit of a non-answer to the question, but he didn't exactly come out and solidify his LSU pledge in his response. Texas clearly impressed the 6-2, 215-pounder but we'll have wait to see just how much of an impact this visit makes, especially since he has yet to take his LSU official visit.

No word yet on Jackson, who is committed to Louisville. He did retweet a couple celebratory tweets from Louisville coaches about their win over Kentucky on Saturday, if you're into those kinds of things. Jackson did pick up an offer from Texas during the visit. I'll work on him to get his thoughts on the trip but he's been pretty quiet so far.

Angilau and his family are traveling back home to Salt Lake City this afternoon. I'll try to get an update on him tonight, if possible, but that one may have to wait a bit if the family is worn out, which is understandable.
