Play our girls next weekend in San Antonio. Let's see if Nebraska can beat Texas on the road in a championship game. Lucky break for Nebraska that it was a home game for you. Otherwise, you definitely don't sweep Texas, and probably lose!
The game was 54 miles from U of Nebraska. You needed the home court advantage, otherwise you lose and leave our state crying like you ran away from Texas size football beatings and left the Big 12.
Oh yeah well our girls could play with one arm tied behind their backs and still SWEEP texas.

Nebraska is the biggest definition of whiny. You couldn't beat Texas or get Texas money, so you ran to another conference. It was fun ending Nebraska's winning streak in football and killing their football program. Lol. How many football conference or national titles did Nebraska win in the Big 12? I believe it is around zero.

Looks like you are having a hard time dealing with it. Otherwise, why are you here? We had a good year. We have a lot of good years. We win the title sometimes and sometimes we don't, But, Texas still wins more titles than Nebraska. Deal with that.
The important thing to remember is you have friggin 22 million people and Nebraska has 1.8 and yet Nebraska has more National Titles in both football and volleyball...cipher on that for awhile.

Killing their program??? What's going on right now with your program? Nebraska was 1-2 vs Texas in title games, so edge to Texas. But your comment about Texas sized victories is hilarious when your average margin of victory was 6 points in all games Big 12. With all that talent, all your team could do was squeak by the lowly Huskers. With all that talent, only 3 Big 12 titles to Nebraska's 2. Not real impressive for 20 years.
It is important to remember that Nebraska is the only D1 program in your state and you have no professional sports teams. By default, Nebraska is your professional sports team. Texas has many D1 programs across the state for athletes to choose from, creating far greater competition than Nebraska can comprehend. We also have many professional sports teams in many cities. The competition for fans is far greater than Nebraska can comprehend because players and fans in Texas actually have more than one choice.

Bugeater, I don't expect you to understand that I was replying to the Husker fan starting a debate about how Nebraska is only of a certain size with almost 2 million people and that makes it even more amazing. Nebraska is the only game in the state. They should get every Nebraska recruit they offer and have a spot for.
Texas actually has to compete for Texas recruits against other Texas schools. It's called in state competition. Nebraska doesn't have another D1 school to compete against for in state recruits. That's called a monopoly.

I get that. But the same should go to the big dog in your state as well, Texas should get any player they want, right? Doesn't happen in Nebraska nor in your state. The big problem lately for Nebraska is coaching and not getting some kids in the state to walk on like they did 20 years ago or getting better players overall from around the country. Time will tell if Nebraska can get back to being a good program, it will take more than a few years.
Apple iPhones were a monopoly and their stock price reflected it. Once competition arrived, their stock price stagnated. The same would happen to Nebraska if they had another in-state D1 school to compete against. You would become stale like you did in the Big 12 against Texas. You didn't enjoy our competitive winning streaks against you, so you ran away.
I get what you are saying too. That's why you will never see me posting on another team's rivals sports board, win or lose. Texas is the flagship university of the state. Although, we demonstrated football dominance over the previous decade (with a national championship to boot), we have a long way to go to get back there. Kids like to play in the SEC, so they go to A&M. Kids want to play in a prolific offense, so they go to Baylor and TCU. Those are our biggest in-state hurdles to overcome.
Well one thing's for sure, college football is better when Texas and Nebraska are in contention for conference and national titles. Hope that gets back soon. You're a good egg, 4MNChamps, have a good night and holidays!
Creighton University is in Omaha and also made the NCAA Women's Volleyball tournament. You might want to fact check first.
What are you saying? Nebraska has only made the College World Series three times and the last time was several years ago. It is in Omaha because the city supports all the teams. Stop making up excuses for your excellent Women's Volleyball team. They just lost to a better team.
Ok, so you found one! Creighton University is a private catholic university with 4,000 undergraduates enrolled! Wow! That is like Texas saying, Rice University in Houston is competition. Lol. That is ridiculous.

Hey before you come and troll and post get your facts straight. Creighton was not in the final 4 and lost in the sweet 16 to usc which was in San Diego, California.
BTW, Texas, Rice, Baylor, and A&M generally have good baseball teams. It is not unusual to see 2 Texas teams (Rice being one of them) featured in the NCAA CWS in Omaha.
