MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
• Texas honored Veterans Day Saturday with special stickers on their helmets. Each helmet was adorned with a branch of the military and the last name of a UT graduate who is currently serving in that respective branch.
• Honorary captains for Saturday’s game were Ahmard Hall, Frank Denius, Nate Boyer, UT System Chancellor William H. McRaven and U.S. Army Sgt. Jason Castille. Additionally, U.S. Army Sgt. James Moriarty (UT graduate) and Sgt. Matthew Lewellen (attended KU) were honored posthumously as the Veterans of the Game. They were represented during the coin toss by their fathers Jim Moriarty and Chuck Lewellen.
• Since its inception in 2011, Texas is 15-1 in games televised on Longhorn Network.

• Antwuan Davis’ first quarter pick-six was Texas’ fifth interception returned for a touchdown this season, tying a school record (1987, 2000).
• Texas is 14-3 all-time against Kansas and 8-0 in Austin.
• Texas held Kansas to 96 rushing yards in the game, the fifth time this season they have held an opponent under 100 yards rushing.
• The Longhorns’ four turnovers forced marked a season high.

DB Antwuan Davis
• Finished the game with two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
• His first quarter interception returned for a touchdown was his first career interception.
WR Lorenzo Joe
• Finished with career highs in both catches (5) and yards (98).
• His 49-yard touchdown reception on the first play of the game was his first of the season and his second career.
DB Jason Hall
• Registered his first interception of the season and third of his career.
QB Shane Buechele
• Finished 22-of-32 for 249 yards and a touchdown. He has now thrown for 1,316 yards on the season and 4,274 in his career.
• Has now passed for 200 yards in 14-of-17 games that he has started in his career.
• Has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 16-of-17 starts.
WR Collin Johnson
• Had six catches for 63 yards and now has 998 career receiving yards.
DB DeShon Elliott
• Tied for the team lead with seven tackles and matched his career high with two tackles for loss, which he also did last week against TCU.
DB Brandon Jones
• Set a career high with two tackles for loss.
