Herman is the biggest ass to these guys. How many stunts has he pulled? Someone stop the bleeding... at this rate, we are going to have to field walk-ons.

He didn't recruit these players and you can't force someone to like you. I'm sorry these players don't like his style but not his fault. Most of them were probably butt hurt about Strong being fired and that they didn't get all of Hermans attention. It seems they were mentally soft if they can't find a way to buy in and play for a different coach.

ROLF... you think fans of UT like Herman? Serve him sh!t on a stick til he has a conference title. The stadium looked rather empty yesterday. Not gonna get better in the years to come.

Yes, treating the players better will obviously prevent Sam from throwing games away in the last quarter. Bottom line, we have no QB and no o line. You aren't winning championships with that combination. You people have unrealistic expectations. Guess what, if Herman only lasts a couple more years then we are going to be starting over again. Coaching changes create a bad transition recruiting class and also loses players to transfers. That is why we are where we are.

Go look at the 2 deep on the oline next year. We're screwed and Herman's ego isn't helping. Oh wait, we only need 5 decent lineman so there's no need to have quality depth.....

What's even funnier is that 8-4 is the bare minimum expected for next year.... Herman may get canned after the OU game next year.

So what can be done to magically have depth next year? Like I said unrealistic expectations. It will take more than a year to create depth on the lines. A new coach won't change that.

Don't piss off the guys you have with stupid fvcking stunts. Brilliant!

So you're at practice and around Herman and know this?

Settle down. No one likes losing, but Herman isn't a bad coach and he's not going to be fired after one year. IMO, he'll end up being a good coach at Texas. If I'm wrong in the end, I'll admit it, but I don't think I'll have to do that.

Hook'em!

Hook'em!

He called D lineman fatties
Served cold breakfast to part of team as a stunt
Constantly blaming players

He's set his own house ablaze.

He's a failed experiment. Rumlin=Strong=Kingsbury=Herman=Francione

I think the problem with Herman is that he likes the pretty boys. A.k.a Skill players. He is recruiting like he has a solid foundation for o-line and d-line. Keep in mind that Jordan Elliot transferred and there are already rumors of other d-lineman transfering our. The Offensive line will be decimated next year not in talent but in depth and experience. Because the o-line doesn’t have talent right now. With the exception of Conor Williams and he was average last night. Herman loves the guys with the ball but treats the linemen like garbage. At least that’s what it seems like. I’m not at practice I don’t know. I’m just guessing from the attrition and comments made about the line.

I'll bet Saban bakes his linemen cookies.
I bet Saban has a dozen mid/high 4 or 5 star OL to choose from. He can run off a couple every year and never feel any pain. When you recruit like Saban running off the weak is strategic. When you focus recruiting on skill positions, you don't have that luxury.

Who says he's focusing on skill players? I'm sure he would love to get the best linemen possible. There just isn't many good this year in Texas.

Elaborate on these stunts that you speak of please sir.

I think he's referring to making the losers of drills and scrimmages in practice to not get the as good of meals as the winners and having some players get placed in the "loafing" category. He's trying to make them hate losing and have a reason to compete at everything. I can't tell you how sorry I feel for those guys.

He is, but it's not players out of state are breaking down the door wanting to play for a mediocre team. Not when they can go to better programs.
That’s true. It just needs to be a proioity and I just don’t see the urgency but I could be wrong. I’m just a fan.

Well, you know just as much as I do. I just see we have offers to some out of state guys.

Well ya but at this rate Herman's taking decent talent to rebuild status. This does not bode well for his survival.

If you think Herman should be fired after one season, you don't get football. You don't do that. Herman deserves the chance to show what he can do, just as Strong got that chance. Herman's job is to show progressive improvement year after year, and he'll get that opportunity at Texas. Did you ever consider what would happen if not just Texas, but any school fired their coach after just one season? No coach worth his salt would give consideration to going to a place like that. Hell, Texas has had problems with the last two hires getting quality coaches to even consider the job. It would be even worse if Herman were to be fired after one season.

I understand and want Herman to succeed but he is proving himself to be less than average. It's not hard to see the outcome here. We need to be paying players and low balling coaches.

I get your point but Herman can't give in and let the players run the program. He has to stick to his guns for the future. Maybe it will work out and maybe it won't but he's the head coach and has to run the program the way he wants.

Dude, take a valium, relax, find something else to do, and step away from the computer for a while. Good grief, you're going to give yourself a stoke.

Wow...I used to think you might know something about football, but that is about the dumbest take I ever saw. I will appologize in advance for my rough comment and assume that what I read was not what you meant.

Not saying cheating. I think the players should earn a salary. I think the coaches are overrated in the grand scheme. They are managers-teachers.... The kids are the difference makers.

Alot of stadiums looked empty. Dude relax it's one year in. CS gave us 3 losing seasons NOT TH.
