If Texas were to have signed a class ranked in the teens, then I’d understand some bitching. Or, if we were in the middle of a four-year stretch like 2014-2017 (where our Rivals class rankings went #20, #12, #11, #31), then sure - freak the f$&k out. However, Sark and his staff just knocked out our fourth-consecutive Top 5 class, putting us in the absolute top eschelon of college football from a talent perspective.
There’s only one recruit in my many years of following college football recruiting who ever deserved the level of hand-wringing I’ve been reading on the board today about Fasusi, and his name is Vincent Paul Young, Jr. Outside of him (and thank God he chose Texas), I’ve learned that us missing out any individual recruit simply doesn’t make a shit. Sark and his staff have earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to having a plan for talent acquisition.
