The Orangebloods Thesaurus

"Strong as oak" isn't a Maguire reference?

"Cheetos" definitely has to be added.

Would like to see a reference to MackRyan, ideally in an EricG image.

Flighttracker has to be in there.

Amazing work.

You also left off "Cheetos"...another infamous thread (which turned out to be fake).

Alex, Craig James killed six hookers. Mind bottling that you left that out.

Took me a few seconds to figure out who Greg Davis was. Then I remembered, Greg Davis was the nickname for GD GD.

For the win. FTMFW.

First.

And what would this board be without NSFW.

Brantleys never used that term, from what I recall, but it was used to describe them. It actually stems from the movie Jerry McGuire.
Yeah I always thought it was from Jerry McGuire as well

There was on poster than had inside info and every time Matt Stafford's name came up he just put "Georgia".

Also, "of all places."

Chris Simms, Chinese restaurant, of all places.

Excellent work .. .

Left off Dirt Burglers . ..

I'm stunned, .. .I"m pissed . ..it's Mack Brown was the quote of a long since departed poster. . . can't recall whom. . .

But how did you leave off "Nam" or "this isn't Nam". . . .when a poster who references a hot young lady but fails to post pictures. . .

You also forgot to add that the North American Lucci can be best identified by the large pink cylinder coming out (and into) his mouth.

The nickname of former Orangebloods reporter Chip Brown, who got the moniker by TheDude41 saying "60% of the time, he's right every time," in reference to Sex Panther pheromone cologne described in the movie Anchorman.

Edited.

Isn't that the same as the Ginger thread?

This is great, explained a couple of things that I had never figured out the origin of before.

IMO, thought, it's more a lexicon than a thesaurus.

Yep.. Maybe the most used phrase on OB's..

I thought it was from Brantley's dad who said (when John committed to
Texas) that his word was solid as oak. Of course he later switched his
commitment to Florida.

Idoit goes back at least a decade and is still very commonly used. Classic.

Flight tracker is another. It was used extensively during the coaching
search with posters hopping on the interwebs to track airplane tail
numbers. Coincidentally, there were a number of flights from Tuscaloosa
to Austin during that time fueling speculation Saban was coming. Which
reminds me, you should add something about realtors (Nick Saban's wife reportedly buying a home in Austin).

Craig James killing six hookers still cracks me up. I know it was used during his ill-conceived run for the Senate, but I don't know the origins.

And any time you talk about Greg Davis, you have to talk about bubble screens...his favorite play but which always yielded negative yards.

I thought Land Thieves would be enough to cover that subject, cheese but I know you don't mind giving them a little extra ribbing ; LOL
As for Nam references, it can be found under V - Vietnam References

Didn't Dan Buckner transfer to Arizona not ASU? Of course I could have read that wrong

You're right. But come on, the man just wrote the magnum opus of Orangebloods history.

Pretty sure "Mind Bottling" is an Anchorman reference, and Vietnam Rules is a Big Lebowski reference, FYI.

Mind bottling originated on this site before Anchorman.
