The OTHER Super Regionals threat...

Texas has the better pitching staff from top to bottom. We have 3 starters that can beat any team it faces. A 4th that is off and on. 2 solid closers and Witt who is probably one of the best middle relievers. That’s how you win a tournament. It’s not just about the first 2 games it’s the ones that still have solid pitching the 3rd, 4th and 5th games.
I'm with ya and agree but VAndy is loaded in a diffrent way.
We have the best 3 deep and best era in the nation.
They probably have the best 1-2 and the best WHIP( we are # 2/3) in the nation. After their 1/2 punch they also have SIX other guys with era's under 3. After our top 2 we have 3 . A few of those six guys on Vandy have a crazy K to AB ratio.

Easily the 2 best staffs in the college game. They hit a little better than us .We both have good D.

Let's just get To Omaha and let it rip.IMO it's a 3 man fight with us Vandy and piggy even though they got beat----LMAO!!!! sooooooo eeee piggy-lol

Frickin SEC will have Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and possibly Arkansas, Ole Miss, and MSU at the CWS. I'm hoping for 2 of those to lose out today. Hopefully it's two Texas teams in there with us and DBU.

The point is the world series tends to magnify the importance of the first two or three pitchers. In the regular season, having the depth of squad is extremely important, but in the world series you play your best guys as often as you can. Those 4th and 5th starters are likely never starting. You bring back No1 and No2 as soon as you are able. Top to bottom isn't as important as front loading quality at the front end. That "bottom" that eventually finds a lot of playing time in the regular season due to its length and not wanting to wear out front line pitchers, isn't much of a factor in the world series, more the "top".
+100
Also the closer......think Huston Street or JB Cox

Haven’t watched much of them this season, but it really seems like the cupboard is pretty bare at LSU on the mound and out of the pen.

ya, it is very likely going to be SEC fest in Omaha. Be nice if Arizona could take out Ole Miss. I highly doubt Notre Dame beats Miss State twice.

There should be no doubt that the SEC has some really good baseball being played in their conference.
