The UT double standard

This response makes zero sense. Are you sure YOU weren't breaking the law, when you wrote it?

You said that CS's core values are just a bit, to sell the program to the parents. I said, if the core values are merely marketing, then why is CS sending starters home? You replied with the above.
I thought it was just me. I'm so confused on what I was debating with Bubba about.

Chip Brown:

"I was told by a top source on Wednesday that Strong is not in trouble with higher-ups at UT at this point. Another source added that Tracy Blue was the aggressor in an attempt to have a friendship with Strong after attending one of his women's 101 football clinics at Louisville. But that Strong kept everything at arm's length and nothing more than a courteous friendship.

UT officials are following the matter, and I was told one Texas official contacted Korn Ferry International, the search firm used by Texas in the coaching search that led to Strong's hiring and asked if Strong was vetted about Tracy Blue or any possible infidelities. I was told Korn/Ferry responded yes and that Strong told them there was nothing to see.At this point, Strong still has the full support of Texas administrators."

FWIW

How about now, water head?
Why would Strong have been vetted about Mrs. Blue? How did that even come up? Why would he say there was nothing to see at that time? I'm not buying what's being sold.

Of course you're not. You're not honest. Look into what vetting means.
How would that even come up about Mrs. Blue Scholz? Sounds like there have been ongoing accusations of this for a long time? "At this point" is a clear message being sent. We'll see how this all plays out but I'm still not totally convinced.

Again, vetting. Look it up. It was obviously a story. It's simply a guy trying to keep all of his money in a divorce proceeding. He's throwing crap against the wall to see what sticks.

Just as we all knew, you made up your mind about this before the facts came out. And now that the actual story doesn't fit your biased narrative, you're discounting it. Of course. In typical dishonest $ooner fashion.

It's just a subpoena btw and apparently 9 other men were subpoenaed as well. Looks like the husband is playing hard ball in the divorce case and trying to find dirt anywhere he can. There is no proof of any impropriety but that didn't stop you $ooners from jumping to an incorrect and dishonest conclusion immediately.

It's obvious now that this is what it is Scholz. A VERY high priced lawyer who is under no illusions about how desperately his client wants to hang onto his kids and his money.

I was having this very conversation with another alumni last night over a beer during the spurs game and his comments were:

"You know, if charlie were smart, and didn't hook up with her, what he COULD do is say 'ok dude, if I say I shagged your wife, you cut ne a check for $25 million, but if I say I didn't shag her, you'll end up giving her half of your sh!t. So what's it going to be? 25 or 75?'".

I was like "Hmmmmmm........".

Is your friend a lawyer?

No. UT grad that runs a drilling company. Suffice it to say, his sense of humor is grower darker by the day.

Is his drilling company able to stay busy right now? Saudi Oil Minister didn't sound too optimistic about production cuts when he was in Houston the other day saying THEY could live with $20 oil.

I've got a deal I am working on in Angola and if I can get the parameters set properly, he'll have more work than he can handle---- granted half way around the world in a war torn country in the sub saharan jungles of western Africa where the term blood diamond was coined, under the regime of a President that has a net worth of 20 billion and his daughter who owns the largest bank and cell phone company with a net worth of 3 billion AND terrorist organizations like Boko Hiram and the MK14 brigade just across the Congo river in the Democratic Republic of Congo-------------------------------- but "beggers can't be choosey".........

Times are rough and your last line is ever so true especially right now.

So what you're saying is it's in a F'd up part of the world.

I've worked in the O&G industry for 18yrs which is a lot considering I'm only 38. One thing I told my uncle that is obviously older than me but new to the industry was to save as much as possible. When the getting is good it's VERY good but when it's bad well you see where we're at. He saved and good thing for him because he has a boat load of kids. As soon as I get the chance I'm out of this volatile world!

Mr Blue is kind of a douche. He calls for information from 8 people, Coach Strong included, then two days settles and has the audacity to say "I request that our privacy be respected." Stay classy Mr Blue.

It was not a subpoena. It was Mr. Blue's attorneys' discovery requests. It doesn't become a subpoena until a judge signs it. A judge would have struck many of those requests before they approved for scope of discovery.

One coach sits by while his players rape female co-eds and the program covers it up... Another coach may have committed adultery, let's see which one becomes the bigger story

Discuss...
Well, whatever the OP is about, it's not about a UT double standard. The only possible double standard I was aware of, regarding Texas, was the Kearne vs. Applewhite nonsense.

The OP is about rape's by Baylor athletes being ignored vs. groundless speculation about Charlie Strong's marriage... a comparison that makes no sense.

This is kind of the Donald Trump version of getting in the news. Tweet something ridiculous and scandalous at the same time, and see if it generates enough coverage to push everything else out of the news cycle.
