This was one the best NC teams I've ever seen.

What a great defense they have.

At TX we have a te, JT Sanders, who can be a great te.

GA has Brock Bowers who could be one of the greatest te's of so time.

He's the one I respect the most. I've never seen a te who can cut back when he has the ball like that guy.

With the exception of the tOSU game they were never challenged.

The highest compliment I can give them is if this was the world series they would have swept all 3 teams.

Georgia had a couple of close calls this year in the regular season. Mizzou, Kentucky and Kent State all played them tough. That's probably why I wouldn't say they are one of the 10 greatest teams of all time.

Yeah...'05 Texas had 2 close calls. One was at #4 Ohio State, who finished #4 at 10-2. The other was the National Title game against a team with 2 Heisman winners and the defending natty champs.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I didn't see those games but I read the box scores.

It seemed like MO and KY made it sound close because they kicked a bunch of fg's. But it appeared that GA was in control the whole game.

And it seemed like Kent State was the same way.

They were tied with Mizzou in the 4th quarter at one point. Also there’s no reason they shouldn’t have blown Kent Tatar out of the water. Then the Kentucky game was pretty close as well. They were a really good team but I don’t think they were all time great.

I would take Georgia’s team from last season over this years just because of the defense from last season.

We kicked everyone’s ass that year. Such a fun year as a fan. I’ll never forget that Big 12 Championship game where we annihilated Colorado 70-3.

There’s really only 1 team I would take over that 2005 team and that’s the 2001 Miami team. That Miami team was so ridiculous with the amount of NFL talent they had. I think it was like 16 1st round draft picks they had.

Ridiculous. They caught fire during a 3 hr competition. Stop with trying to put them on a pedestal.

Best ever NC team is LSU 2019 and it's not even close
2001 Miami would have beat that LSU team by 21. Ed Reed and Sean Taylor at safety. Then Phillip Buchanan and Mike Rumph out at CB. They were all first round picks and Ed Reed is arguably the greatest FS of all time. They had 17 1st round draft picks.

You talking about the LSU team that had to pull a rabbit out of their hat to beat an 8-5 Texas team? The tram that gave up 530 yards of offense? Gave up 4 sacks? Let Sam Ehlinger throw for 410 yards and 4 tds with no ints? The same LSU team that gave up 38 to Texas and 41 to Bama?

No my silly friend. That isn't even close to the best college team ever.
LSU averaged 48.4 ppg.
Texas averaged 50.2 in 2005

No chance, LSU averaged 48.4 against a schedule with 7 top ten teams. Texas averaged 50.2 against a glorified high schedule.

what did I say that was incorrect? compare the schedule each team played and objectively tell me who played a harder schedule.

They only beat that Texas team who was not very good at all by a touchdown.

The average margin of win that year for 05 Texas was 34 points. It’s the 2nd highest margin of victory of the last 25 years. That’s when the Big 12 was still a really strong conference.

LSU’s average margin of defeat was 24 points in 2019.

Big 12 had the highest winning % in its bowl games that year.
Oh btw-- prior to that game (and I mean the entire season) USC and Texas were ranked #1 and #2 every week from start to finish
..... (never been done before or since).
And EVERYONE was calling USC the best college team in history (2 Heisman winners).
Texas had #1 offense points scored, USC had #1 on total yards.
Texas had #9 ranked defense.
LSU was ranked #25.....

Texas wins that game in a boat race.

Oh-- and btw-- our secondary that year-

Cedric griffin
Michael griffin
Michael huff
Aaron Ross
Tarell Brown

Collectively-- 3 1st rounders a 2nd rounder and a 5th rounder. 42 years of NFL playing time. Multiple pro bowls and 2 super bowls.
Joe Burrow (good qb) doesn't face (collectively) talent like that in the NFL on one squad.

He'd have been LUCKY to throw for over 200 yards in a game against those guys.
What's LSU going to do then? Run the football? They averaged 160yds a game. Texas gave up 130 a game.

LSU gave up over 21 pts a game in a grind it out on the ground conference.
Texas gave up 14 points a game.

We'd have beat LSU like a sub-contracted mule.

I was going to touch on that earlier and got sidetracked. The back end of the 05 D was arguably one of, if not the best groups ever. Then add in Okam and Wright at DT sandwiched by Orakpo and Robison on the ends. That’s a whole lot of bad intentions coming at Burrows all night long.

Yup-- there were 10 players on offense and 12 on defense that went on to play in the NFL.

USC had 16 on the roster on defense and 13 on offense that went to the NFL.

USC and Texas both smoke 2019 LSU's ass like a mother fvckin pack of Kools.

How Many top 10 teams did Texas beat that year? If LSU had played KU,KSU And ISU they would have scored 60 points per game. And we made the champion of the pussy 12 their bitch in the playoffs

05 Texas barely even played 3 quarters most of that season. VY was sitting down midway through the 3rd in most games. That’s how dominant they were. You are woefully out of your depth on this topic.

That's the only secondary you can compare to the 05 texas DBs.

If Sean Taylor isn't murdered, he's a HOF guy like Ed Reed. Buchanan was good-- not great- and Rumph has a 5 year (meh) career. Reed and Taylor were fvcking junk yard dogs.

Sh!t britches-- I've hit you with stats-- not nut hugging feelings. Deal with it.
