Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.
~~~~~~~~~~~ Corrie ten Boom'
An NYU professor had the notion that younger people placed very little emphasis on saving for the future because it was just too remote, as if they were saving for a stranger. So he set up an experiment, dividing students into two groups. One group had mirrors, and were asked to look at their reflections, while the other group was equipped with VR goggles that showed them as they might appear at age 68-70. During the testing, those students who saw their older selves were more willing to save for the future. Further, over time, the VR students were more likely to complete study assignments on time.
None of us are college students anymore, but we still spend time pondering the future, and worrying about what it holds. With our Faith commitment, we can catch a glimpse of our future selves, and begin to live as that person in the here and now.
Blessings and Peace. Have a great week,
NT
