Will be flying in with some friends. Looking forward to the atmosphere. I’ve never been to a game in Fayetteville but history indicates something special.

Oh sh^t! Don’t spoil my anticipation.Invest in some urine-proof clothing
This is definitely going to be an awesome weekend. In 1969, it was said that cars with Texas plates couldn't buy gas in AR.
Pigs SOOOOOOOEY! You will hear that so much you'll throw up....Will be flying in with some friends. Looking forward to the atmosphere. I’ve never been to a game in Fayetteville but history indicates something special.
You know I've been to a lot of TX games where they had tshirts that said tuck fexas. Not AR they spelled it right. In 1969, it was said that cars with Texas plates couldn't buy gas in AR.
My original post was a joke. Not a firmly planted tongue in cheek joke, but more of a parody joke.
College football is supposed to be an everyman's game. And the "everyman" can't afford to make their kid feel special by paying 150 bucks to get an autograph AND take his kid to a game.
Guys-- we are going down a path that's going to ultimately be really fvcking bad.
have a white hot hatred for the LHB. I
have a white hot hatred for the LHB.
The Arkansas fan of today is a bit different than the old timers. UA is about 50% Texan and they do not remember the hate of the past. It's been 30 years. I was at the last SWC conference game including UA. It will still be nasty but it used to be really bad. UA has not had a good team in a long time and they are passive at this point.
All true. The linked story is a few years old but it still accurately portrays the UA student demographics … significantly Texan. There are many TX high schools that now act as feeders to UA.The Arkansas fan of today is a bit different than the old timers. UA is about 50% Texan and they do not remember the hate of the past. Bothers the hell out of me too. I once saw a lady (early 30s) patiently waiting while her dog took a dump in the middle of the terminal’s walkway as if she was on a neighborhood sidewalk. No embarrassment whatsoever. I didn’t stick around to see if she cleaned it up, I am assuming she did. It is an eery feeling that the USA with this crap and all of the other “rights” not to have our feelings hurt is like we are Panem and the rest of world countries are the Districts.Sitting in the Austin Airport right now and I hope we do to Arkansas what I want to do to all the pvssies here that aren't veterans that are hauling their "emotional support animals" onto this flight. We've become so fvcking soft in this country.
It all started going to shit when they started giving out participation trophies. That's the MO of the younger generation today.Sitting in the Austin Airport right now and I hope we do to Arkansas what I want to do to all the pvssies here that aren't veterans that are hauling their "emotional support animals" onto this flight. I think their best wr transferred to OU this summer so their passing stats don't surprise me.I had to do several double takes when looking at the Razorbacks football program. Not good on paper. Here is what I found:
Head coach Sam Pittman's credentials:
He was a head coach only one other time before the AR job and that was for 2 years at a junior college where he went 0.500. Other than that, he has been an OL coach for like 30 years. The only thing I saw that seemed resume worthy was his 4 year stint as an OL coach under Kirby Smart. He had some sporadic AHC positions in addition to his OL duties, but not sure how much that matters. Last year was his first year at Arky and he went 3-7.
Offensive Coordinator: Kendall Briles. Probably the most legitimate coach on staff
Defensive Coordinator: Barry Odom
He spent a lot of time at Mizzou as a DC and then got hired there as a HC. He went 0.500 over 4 years.
Their QB KJ Jefferson (RS Sophomore) seems very average. Against Rice, he went 12/21 for 128 yards. Had a good TD run and had 89 yards on the ground. As a team they gained a total of 245 yards on the ground and 128 yards in the air. The allowed Rice to gain 81 yards on the ground and 227 yards through the air.
The only thing I conclude is that a loss will remove any optimism I have from the Lala win. A win against Arky will mean very little in gauging the quality of our team.
At first I thought you were talking about some hot babes but looks like you were just talking about bitches. See what I did there?Sitting in the Austin Airport right now and I hope we do to Arkansas what I want to do to all the pvssies here that aren't veterans that are hauling their "emotional support animals" onto this flight. I was at the game in 03’ at DKR when Matt Jones played. I seem to recall him being most of their offense that day, I know his running gave the Longhorn D some issues. Will be flying in with some friends. Looking forward to the atmosphere. The Fayetteville environment is no different today than what we face at other locations. Any idea that Fayetteville is a scene from Deliverance is not accurate today. Maybe in the 70s yes, but not today.Tim Cambell said..." playing in Fayetteville is like parachuting into Russia"
My advice to those going to the game....if you drop your wallet in the stadium there, you better kick it outside before you pick it up else you might hear "dueling banjos"
Day trip, fly in fly out. I’m prepared for the game but also have an exit strategy. Jet door will be open when I get there.Be sure to bring toothpaste and a toothbrush. They are limited in supply at Arkansas Walmart, bc they don't sell very well there.
Many of my aunts. Uncles and nieces all live in Ark and scream the pig chant. Most of them are good looking, still have their teeth and mary no less than one dna chain outside the family. Still fun to give them sh^t though. The Fayetteville environment is no different today than what we face at other locations. Read my post from earlier … at least a quarter of the student body is middle to upper class suburban Texan. A tough football environment much like what we face elsewhere as a visitor … yes. Deliverance … no. But, then that doesn’t make for a good story.
You taking the Citation II or the Falcon 50?Day trip, fly in fly out. I’m prepared for the game but also have an exit strategy. Jet door will be open when I get there.
Actually I don’t know yet. Was just told to show up at the Addison airport. Not my plane. Just got lucky enough for an invite. I just hope it takes off and lands safely. You taking the Citation II or the Falcon 50?
