Tweet of the Day

I don’t know who the asshole coach is the talked to him. It isn’t right to speak to somebdy busting their butt every day to be so cold like the player doesn’t matter. Nonetheless, my msg to that player, keep talking dude. Our OL is hearing you as well and you are giving them some motivation

Keep in mind that is HIS version of the conversation. I’d be willing to bet this a whole lot of what was said doesn't necessarily match what was heard.

I don’t know man. You are right though. If I were a betting man, I would bet it was the coach. Bo Davis maybe?

Could be. I could see Bo being pretty blunt but I’ve also dealt a lot with 20 something yea old young men and they don’t always hear exactly what you’re saying.

We’re assuming that what he’s saying is accurate.

Think about this… He was a 3* who couldn’t crack the 2 deep at Texas…. But, Taffe was a walk-on who made starter and is an All-American. Maybe…. Just maybe… he didn’t work as hard as someone like Taffe and being told he wouldn’t be able to make it at Texas, because of that, wasn’t an asshole thing to do.

I also seriously doubt it was as callous has he makes out. He seems like an entitled bitch, who blames everyone but himself for his shortcomings.

A lot of people in general only hear what they want to hear. Age has nothing to do with it.

Anybody catch the train wreck and derailment in Pecos? I haven’t read anything or heard any press releases about it, but this video shows the pilot vehicle already across.

Looked like the train was hauling azz…thru town? 😯
I don’t know the rules, but I don’t think it is solely the semi driver’s fault The pilot truck was safely over the track and waiting. He should have warned him one way or the other. Maybe the pilot truck was busy texting or getting a blow job. Who knows.

I have a crew working out that way. Supposedly the semi got hung up on the tracks. Was sitting there for almost an hour before impact.

No one bothered to advise the railroad companies, huh?
I assume not. None of my guys were onsite but that’s the version they’re hearing out there. I’m guessing pilot car’s first call was to dispatch then trying to find a wrecker.
Out there a wrecker would be a couple of hours response time minimum.
Back in the old days we would have chained a winch truck off to the back of it and pulled it backwards until it was cleared. Ain’t a whole lot of thinking outside the box in the oilfield anymore.

Only a couple states require any certification or training beyond a valid drivers license for pilot/escort car drivers and Texas isn't one of em.
Not that there really needs to be but most of those crews look like carnival operators.

It’s become a sad world we live in, when common sense has become so uncommon. At the least, the PD should have been notified and they should have notified the railroad. Maybe I’m too aware of crossings, because my dad retired from the railroad, but anytime we had any kind of call even close to tracks I made sure everyone knew.
