Man that 5.7 is a HOT round. Accurate as hell. Secret Service still carry it I believe. GIGN in France (bad muthas) used to carry it but they're switching to Glocks now. Belgian SFG (maroon berets) carry it-- but you kinda have to carry a weapon made in your own freaking country. The Indians currently use it but are also transitioning to Glocks. Why the transitions? Reliability. Stories are coming out that the 5.7 can be a fickle little b!tch when she gets wet and dirty. Now she apparently is fine and dandy when she's well oiled and kept clean-- but the pucker factor of needing a weapon to fire after you've put it through the ringer is moving people toward Glocks.
I use an inside the waistband holster that a gentleman custom made for me. The Viridian X5L gen 3 laser and hd camera is bulky so needed something custom for my body and I wear bigger shirts so not noticeable. It's a little larger than most conceal carries. How do you carry it?
I haven't had any issues thus far with 1k rounds down range. All my weapons get a bi-weekly cleaning regardless of usage. Wifey bought me the Ruger 57 for Father's day but yet had time to shoot it. Reviews say it is comparable to the five seven but I doubt it. My teen likes the look of the FN better than the Ruger. The backup I carry is the FN 503 and you can damn near hide that thing anywhere. I carry the 5.7 because I have more of an advantage than most concealed carriers with most of the mass shootings being from rifles and the five seven at 100 yds shoots flat.. doesn't loose drop off unlike other pistols at shorter ranges... plus penetration. I use the SS198 round. Video says 3k fps but the average I get with the SS198 is around 2860, but close enough.Man that 5.7 is a HOT round. Accurate as hell. Secret Service still carry it I believe. Hell ask fresh. Our white world team blue used to run with Sig P229s and 226s- and now it looks like everybody is switching to the glock-- why? Because the damn things will always fire.
My man, you have a laser AND a cam mounted on your side piece? Are you worried that the law won't see it as a good shoot unless you've got PRD footage? I get the laser. Every piece I ever lost in canyon lake either had a laser or an IR on it. But a laze and a cam? You're hard core.I use an inside the waistband holster that a gentleman custom made for me. It's going to be another 14-16 months before ammo becomes readily available again. Right now you can't even get primers to do hand loads. I've got brass coming put of my ass-- but no primers. What's f-ed up is that once supply does come back up, prices are unlikely to go down for a while because of inflation. Shipping costs have tripled. Once we as a populace get used to paying a certain price for something, the manufacturers rarely drop that price. The days of 25 cent 5.56 rounds are dead.Seems like ammo availability and prices are getting a little better. I've been waiting for them to come down before I stock up a little. Should I pull the trigger now or wait longer? I not in immediate need of more ammo but I want to be sure to get some before the next run starts.
Exactly-- you just said that you clean your baby every 2 weeks. That's what you have to do to keep her at optimal performance . However, guys in SOF that jump out of airplanes into the ocean and then swim 3 miles, or crab crawl up a wet sandy beach, or wade through a mud swamp, or get caught in a haboob (sand storm) don't get the chance to keep their 5.7 squeaky clean. You do. And as long as you keep it clean, my man, that's a bad ass hole punch you're running around with.I haven't had any issues thus far with 1k rounds down range. Nice guns. The barrel on that 509 LS Edge looks pretty sickI haven't had any issues thus far with 1k rounds down range. All my weapons get a bi-weekly cleaning regardless of usage. It looks cool-- but look at those double nubs on the front sight. That's just begging to be snagged on certain holsters. Btw you sh!t bird, I'm in the process of buying a house in an established SA hood to take advantage of this real estate stupidity-- and rent out my place in Gruene for a STUPID amount of money. And you're too fvcking cool to come grab a beer.Nice guns. The barrel on that 509 LS Edge looks pretty sick
Good to hear. They tell me you can make a lot of money if you’re in the right spot. Heck I’m not too cool for anyone, with 3 kids and working out of town everyday I just hang at the house in my down time.It looks cool-- but look at those double nubs on the front sight. November 1944 on Leyte, my dad had this very problem. He took out two Jap machine gun nests with a BAR while covering 50 yards of open ground. Earned a Bronze Star for Valor to go along with the Purple Heart for some enemy lead he caught in his posterior.....Pesky machine gun nest slowing down your advance? Try this.

Thought about Alamo Heights but all those houses are 100 years old and come with problems. Moving instead to 1604 interstate 10 area. Out by the golf course. You're going to live in SA?

No shit. Funny thing, I just read Halsey's report on the Battle of Leyte Gulf as well. My dad was a PFC in the 7th Infantry Division. He went ashore on Leyte on October 20, 1944. The Battle of Leyte Gulf which you referred to did indeed last 3 days and claim some 13,000 Japanese. The Leyte Island campaign which my father was part of lasted from October 20 until December 26, 1944. It was November 10th when my dad engaged in the action I described. The Leyte Island Campaign cost the Japanese somewhere north of 49,000 dead. By the time my father was treated and returned to his unit, they had been taken off the line and were preparing for the Okinawa campaign. He would hit that beach in April 1945 as a SSgt and a squad leader. He caught some more Jap lead on Okinawa and a second Purple Heart. No sh!t?
I read Halsey's book about this battle. 3 or 4 days if i remember. My family was all in Europe fighting. But I've met friends of them--- years ago, obviously, that served in the Pacific- and said Leyte was the biggest battle they'd ever seen. Like huge, overwhelming, and bloody. Something like 13,000 Japanese killed. That's freaking brutal .
If you boys want to read something that will curl your hair, look no farther than this: Google Texas H.B. 196 authored by Terry Meza of District 105 I think.....She wants to make it a crime to use deadly force to defend your home. She says the crooks need the money more than you do! I shit you not! I tell you you HAVE TO READ THIS!
Oldhorn, crazy bitch said the robber needs the money more than the home owner........and she thinks the redistribution of wealth is a good thing....
