Free from Jeff Howe on Texas 247:

1. Camping World (vs. Notre Dame, unless something crazy happens and ND is a NY6 team)
2. Liberty (they won't pass on Texas)
3. Alamo (if Baylor is a NY6 team it's definitely in play)
4. Texas (I've heard the Texas Bowl doesn't want Texas having had the Longhorns two years ago)

I hope we don't draw Notre Dame. They will blow us out of the stadium.
Will they win? Likely, but blow UT out of the stadium? Very unlikely as that did not happen once this season or anytime in the three seasons Herman has been coaching.

Baylor blew us out. The touchdown with 4 seconds remaining in the game showed how desperate Texas was to get a touchdown in regulation. Although the final score was 24-10, Baylor whipped us.

Yeah I’ll give you that. That was a one-sided melt down though on the offense. The defense played great holding Baylor to just seven points midway through the third quarter despite three and out after three and out after three and out... I think it was eight of them total.

I've watched ND play quite a bit this year. That is a bad match up for Texas. They would blow us out. Just looking at it honestly.

I remember hearing the same thing going into the Georgia game last year. Your dislike for Herman is obvious but in his 3 years here nobody has really “blown us out.”

Well, ya gotta wonder, look where Georgia is now and look to where we are now, same people, same Coach, same team, doesn't look good, I suggest that you buy Herman's new hat that he has out.."Make the Big 12 Great Again!" and his trademark Double Bubble gum holster!

How in the hell do you figure same team when we lost 8 starters on defense. Sorry but no this is not the same team.

The unrealistic fans will claim that every team has to replace eight starters on defense from the previous season, plus every team has has injuries and has to replace eight more starters to injury.

Look blame Herman all you want but at the end of the day the players deserve some of the blame as well.

I’m just sick of hearing all the blame being put on Herman and nobody holding any of the players accountable. The offensive line was about as bad as any line I can ever remember at Texas in the past. The coaches can teach kids to make open field tackles but at the end of the day the players have to execute. Of course when things don’t go right the first thing a bunch of unrealistic fans want to do is blame coaching.

I'd like something other than the Alamo or Texas bowls. And against an SEC team we have little history with (Tennessee or Kentucky)

Name a line then?

Name a line? They aren't even matched up in a bowl game and no one knows about injuries at this point. Even if they did play, ND averages 37 PPG, and they have scored at least 40 points in five games. You've watched Texas try to play defense, right? We can't tackle and can't stop anyone. Brian Kelly > Tom Herman. I really hope that Texas isn't paired up with ND. It's a bad matchup.

I felt like the defense played a lot better the last 4 games. Getting healthy on that side of the ball really helped.

Did you not watch any of Texas’ last four games? They have played good defense....once they started to get some of the numerous injured starters back.

Since you are making the claim that UT would get blown out by ND, and are so certain of it, at least have the sack to follow up with a score prediction such as “Texas would lose by at least x amount”

And BTW, since when did you get so concerned about injuries? Not only does neither team play another game until their bowl matchup, you have been preaching for weeks and weeks about how injuries don’t matter.

By injuries, I was referring to a betting line. Vegas doesn't put out lines until games are announced and they know more about injuries. That said, I would predict ND 45 Texas 28 if they played. I'm realistic about this Texas team. Sorry if it pisses anyone off if I call it like I see it. Fact is, Texas is a poorly coached team.

That's why we pay him Millon's of Bucks, so why not?The players get nothing..and its obvious that he can't run a Offense, another Coach set for life by Texas...

Thanks! So a 17 point “blowout”?

It’s obvious he ran an offense that won a National championship and beat a Bama team that had one of the best defenses of all time. Maybe we should hire you since you have it all figured out...

Texas has been #1 or #2 in the Big 12 in recruiting rankings for at least 5 years now. You are gonna tell me that our 2nd string guys aren’t better than Iowa State? Baylor? TCU? Recruiting rankings say they are.
Coaching is failing to get the back ups ready to play at Texas!

Sure they could have beaten LSU. That game was a long time ago. Since that game, Texas has not been the same team though.
They will have time to get healthy again before a bowl game. If they care enough to show up, they will look different than they have since the OU game.

A 3-3-5 defense is to blame for many of our losses & the coaches being too stubborn to change the defense alignment to put the players in the best position to succeed.

Running the same predictable plays on offense that aren’t working are to blame for our poor offensive outings. These coaches lack creativity. A successful offense takes advantage of the defensive weaknesses. Our coaches have not consistently proven they know how & are willing to do this.

I have no confidence in this coaching staff. Herman will be back next year, but unless he gets to the Big 12 CG, and he’ll probably have to win it, he won’t be back for a fifth season.

Yep. That score would be a blowout to me. What would be your score prediction?

Any other questions, Mr. Sunshine Pumper?
Well, after the “blown out of the stadium” talk I wasn’t expecting you to back down to a 17 point differential
