Having an affair is not generally grounds for termination for an employment contract, unless it was with a student. It not fair to his family or others involced to throw out rumors. He does have children.
Jeez this crap is a beating. Quit jumping on rumors just because you don’t like a dude. It’s just like aggy saying “he was trying to call a time out to kick a field goal”, only with vastly less evidence.
I don’t think having an affair meets the threshold. That would be a really ugly lawsuit.

I am not saying there is anything to the rumors, but, if there is, it could certainly be used as leverage. It definitely could be argued that his focus and attention was elsewhere, along with his penis and it affected his performance. The morality clause is in the contract for a reason. The ability to use it depends on how valuable this is to keep from the kids. If Tom wasn't so arrogant and hated, this wouldn't be an issue. Nothing serious was made of Major's affair while his wife was pregnant because he wasn't hated. I don't think Tom has the same goodwill.
It depends on several things, all of which require complete speculation. I suspect that he, along with all other UT coaches, were advised about Eyes protocol & best practices. I suspect that he violated the university’s policies. The problem is twofold: 1. Is his assumed breach material?; and 2. If it is, do you fire an employee in an attempt to forego a $15m obligation which will certainly result in litigation? The future litigation would certainly highlight race based issues / defenses surrounding the song and player relationships. No way UT steps into that mine field over $15m. They made the right call to move on.

I don’t know if I believe it and I had not heard it myself. I also have not seen the contract and don’t know what he actually did wrong vs what is simply alleged.
Say what? He was suspended without pay, IIRC. And, lots of bad publicity in the media about his affair (not just internet rumors).
I didn't recall that, but you may be correct. If so, it gives even more credence to the thought that they may use the rumored affair against Herman.
