The Texas offense tried very hard to lose the game in the 4th quarter against Tech.
Defense held up when it counted the most.

2 drives inside the 10 yard line resulting in -4 points. ( 1 fg + 1 fumble for TD) ( 18 point difference)
2 turnovers (downs) in the 4th quarter resulting in -7 points. ( we turned it over on both of those possessions) (13-21 point different)

We should have won this game by at least 25 points.

This gap falls squarely on the players and offensive play calling in the 4th.

Glad to have the win and there be room for a LOT of improvement.

Considering our offense is the one that saves us most of the time I think they're due. I agree we should've put Tech away but I'm glad to see the defense had a few stops. I thought this game would be a 100 total point game.

Had the refs ruled that Foreman broke the plane with the football and therefore given us the TD, we win by 21 so there is that.....no different plays....no second guessing, just a simple call that easily could have been made

Not excusing the drop(well...I mean the rip out during a mugging)...it happened and we won.

reminds me ( I play lots of black jack) of why blackjack players are ALWAYS pissed.....if they lose a hand they are pissed that they lost....if they win they are pissed they didnt bet more

When you haven't won on the road all year, it's hard to underachieve when you walk out with a win.

Should they have won by 16 or more, sure.

Was it the players that tried to lose it or the coaches? Seemed to me like Gilbert was smoking something in the 4th quarter

The fact that we are bragging about finally winning a road game is a problem.

Factor in that it was vs a very flawed team that talent wise we should have dominated....that is a real problem.

I'm not sure anyone is bragging at least not on this board. I think we're just happy we won period well at least I am.

Pour yourself a drink. We did dominate that game, and the score would reflect if not for a horrible refs at the half. Now we certainly deserve plenty of criticism for the horrible play calling that had Foreman on the bench and Swoopes trying to close the game out, but other than that they played a good game.

Strong is not the guy imo, but he's also going to be the coach here next season regardless of my opinion. Enjoy the wins as they come and check back in once he's gone. Unless you were only sports conscious during the Mack years, you know that's it's very possible for Texas to have long stretches of bad football.

Who is bragging? Win and move on, it was Tech. Tuck Fech.
