Friday 3:20 p.m. - Texas offers 2018 Cypress Springs DB Leon O'Neal.
Friday 1:10 p.m.:
The Texas staff rolled deep into Lamar High School (Houston) today. Lamar is loaded, once again, and is home to three 2018 four-star prospects Texas is in on - Anthony Cook, Al'Vonte Woodard, and D'Shawn Jamison.
Friday 9 a.m. - Add yest another DT to this week's list of visitors. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M J.C. DT Jamari Chisholm. Can't say I know too much about this guy yet.
Thursday 9:40 p.m. update - Texas has offered 2018 Rivals100 running back Jaelin Gill of Westerville, OH.
Thursday 9 p.m. update - Kamren Curl changes his commitment plans. Texas is in the final grouping. Don't think the Longhorns have much of a shot without getting an official visit.
Thursday 9:45 a.m. - Juco DT Larrell Murchison, who recently committed to Ole Miss, will visit Texas this weekend. He'll visit Houston next weekend and Ole Miss on January 27.
Here's a story on Murchison following his Ole Miss commit.
Wednesday 10 p.m. update - JUCO LB Gary Johnson has moved his UT official visit from January 20 to this weekend. He told me he "basically" flipped the dates of his Texas and Oregon visits.
Wednesday 4:15 p.m. update:
The Longhorns have extended another big-time 2018 OOS offer, this one to four-star Florida RB Lorenzo Lingard.
Lingard is the No. 16 overall player in 2018, and attends University High School in Orange City, Florida.
Tuesday 9:55 p.m. update - Two more offers out tonight.
2017 DB Javelin Guidry, who was committed to Houston at one point. Guidry tells me he's working with the UT coaches to set up an official visit for January 20.
Also, an offer out to 2018 LB Palaie Gaoteote, a Rivals100 member.
Tuesday 9 p.m. update - Texas has offered WR Terrace Marshall. Mashall, out of Bossier City (LA) Parkway, is the No. 34-ranked player in the nation for the 2018 class.
Tuesday 1:30 p.m. update - I'm told tight end Chase Rogers will not be taking an official visit to Texas this weekend, as originally planned. With the Longhorns having two tight end commitments, it looks like UT is done at the position.
Also, Kendall Sheffield has made it official and committed to Ohio State.
Tuesday 9:55 a.m. update - Random tweet from 2017 DB Kamren Curl, who holds a UT offer.
Monday 6:20 p.m. update - And yet another Houston Lamar offer, this time to WR Al'Vonte Woodard.
Monday 3:30 p.m. update - Texas has extended an offer to 2018 Houston Lamar DB D'Shawn Jamison.
Monday 9:50 a.m. - Texas has offered 2018 Houston Heights DB Jalen Green, one of the top players in the state for next year.
Sunday 7:30 p.m. - Winter Park (FL) wide receiver Jordan Pouncey tells me he will take an official visit to Texas the weekend of January 20. Pounce, who recently decommitted from Notre Dame, will visit Miami this weekend.
The 6-3, 182-pound Pouncey has a top four of Texas, Miami, Notre Dame and Tennessee.
Also, Houston Christian defensive tackle Joshua Rogers tells me he's waiting to hear back from Texas on scheduling an official visit.
Rogers has already visited Oklahoma. He'll be at Houston this weekend, Texas A&M on January 20 and Ole Miss on January 27. So if Texas is going to get him on campus, it'll have to be a midweek visit of some sort unless the coaches can talk him into rescheduling one of his other visits. Not sure if he'd go for it, but him getting to UofH obviously isn't a problem so Texas could try to push for this weekend, or maybe drive home the fact that he probably wants to stay closer to home and see if he'll change the Ole Miss schedule. Rogers is hoping to connect with Oscar Giles tomorrow so we'll see where this one goes.
