Monday 3:40 p.m. update - Hutto DE Ondario Robinson with the following tweet on his UT visit. He's expected to visit Texas A&M this weekend and he told another Rivals.com reporter he'd like to make a decision during the first game of his senior season.
Monday 10:30 a.m. update - Hutto DE Ondario Robinson, a recent UT offer, on his way to the Texas campus later today. Robinson doesn't talk at all so I'll have to dig around to get some details on this one.
Sunday 7 p.m. update - Texas' first mini-camp of the year is in the books, and the three guys who were the most likely to pick up offers did just that. Some notes ...
--- 2018 Yoakum athlete Jordan Moore picked up an offer. Moore can do a little bit of everything and is a very good running back, but Texas is recruiting him as a defensive back.
The Longhorns are the early leaders here.
"Everyone knows UT still my number one right now," Moore said.
--- Jordan's twin, Joshua Moore, also picked up an offer. A wide receiver, Joshua is also very high on Texas.
As one would expect, there's a good chance the brothers play together in college.
"The chances are very high," Joshua said. "For one, it would be easier for my parents. For two, the bond we’ve built since birth. I can’t see myself going anywhere without him."
--- The third offer of the day went out to Houston Lamar DB Anthony Cook. A Rivals100 member, Cook has a long list of offers already. He'll be at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge next weekend.
--- Houston Christian DT Joshua Rogers was in attendance and said he learned a lot.
Texas didn't offer Rogers, but he feels one could come at some point. If the Longhorns offer, Rogers said Texas would definitely be in his top three.
--- The most interesting note of the day came from Trinity Valley Community College DB Curtis Jones.
Jones didn't get an offer, but did go meet with the UT coaches after the camp and is now on the Longhorns' radar. Vance Bedford wants to keep evaluating him. Jones is actually coming back to UT's second mini-camp next weekend at Bedford's request.
A bit of background ... He's about 6-1 and 180. Ran a 4.43. He went to South Grand Prairie (former teammate of Jason Hall's) but was about 5-8 in high school. He had a late growth spurt.
Jones wasn't on UT's radar before today but his trainer thought it would be a chance to get some exposure. Good call. Currently, he's walking on at Trinity Valley. Said he'll play next year as a walk-on, and then would have four years at a Division I program.
