Wednesday 8 p.m. update - Working the phones tonight to get some more names of recruits who will be in attendance for the Horns' game against Notre Dame on Sunday night.

I'll post a more thorough list later tonight after I get a few more confirmations, but a couple big additions already:

Chuck Filiaga - Aledo OL - Filiaga will be at the UCLA-A&M game on Saturday and the USC-Alabama game on Saturday night. On Sunday, he'll make his way to Austin to take in the Texas game.

Malcolm Epps - Spring Dekaney TE (2018) - Epps is committed to Alabama but keeping a bit of an open mind. He visited UT in the spring and picked up an offer. A four-star prospect, Epps is a Rivals100 member. He is locked in for the Texas game on Sunday and may hit the A&M game on Saturday.

Jalen Preston - Manvel WR (2018) - Another Rivals100 member, Preston has had a UT offer for a long while. He tells me he'll hit the OU-Houston game on Saturday and the Texas game on Sunday night.

Rivals250 offensive lineman Adrian Ealy just turned 17 earlier this month. A lot of kids his age are just getting started on their junior years of high school. Not Ealy, who just began his senior year at East Ascension in Gonzales, La., and will graduate in December so he can get a head start to his collegiate career.

Ealy, a Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge participant, holds a number of scholarship offers from top programs all over the map, and he's begun planning out his official visits. The Texas Longhorns are one of the teams who could figure into the mix.

Key quote: "I'm going to talk to coach (Charlie) Strong later on this week, try to figure out my official visit, work with him on my football schedule," Ealy said.

So far, Ealy has one trip locked in - for Oklahoma on the weekend of September 17. He is also planning to visit Miami on October 8 to see the Hurricanes square off with Florida State, and he intends to visit Arizona on October 29.

His last two will come down to whichever schools on his list make him feel the most wanted.

"Pretty much I have three already set. The last two will really be the schools that contact me the most, try to get me up there the hardest," Ealy said.

Contact with Texas: The 6-7, 282-pound Ealy said he's been in touch with Strong via text message, with the UT head coach just working to build up their relationship and keep Ealy motivated.

"I've been texting with them, contact with them. Mainly coach Strong, he texts me," Ealy said. "He just really gives me motivation, tells me to prepare myself for that week, shows me how to be a leader. He texts me quotes from past greats."

Busy fall: Along with his obvious football commitments, Ealy will try to squeeze in all five official visits this fall. He'll graduate in December and enroll in college in January.

As it stands now, Ealy said the schools that are standing out the most are "probably Florida, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Miami, Texas, Tennessee and Michigan."

Thoughts on Texas: Ealy has had the Longhorns on his radar for a while and told Orangebloods back at the Five-Star Challenge that he intended to take a UT official visit. He said this week that there's a lot to like about the UT program overall.

"It's their location, the education, coach Strong, all the coaching staff," Ealy said. "And the way they text me, giving me love."

Ealy follows college football pretty closely. This weekend, he's taking the Longhorns over Notre Dame in Texas' biggest home-opener in years.

"I'm going to have to go with Texas," Ealy said. "I know Notre Dame has a good on d-line but I think they're young. Texas has had some injuries, but I think Texas' skill players are still better than Notre Dame."
