Thursday 7:25 p.m. update - D'Andre Christmas-Giles contemplating a commitment early next week rather than NSD.
Thursday 12:20 pm update - UT DE commitment Malcolm Roach just confirmed via text that he will take an official visit to South Carolina this weekend.
Not the best of news for Texas but Roach has mentioned the possibility of taking visits going back to the day he committed. And everything I've gathered on this one is that he's very happy with his commitment.
We'll keep an eye on the situation but South Carolina would have to really blow him away to get him to flip IMO.
Wednesday 8:15 p.m. update - Pretty random tweet from D'Andre Christmas-Giles, but more evidence that things look good for Texas.
Wednesday 9 a.m. update - Charlie Strong and Jay Norvell were at Plano West this morning checking on 2017 LB Mohamed Sanogo.
Sanogo has visited UT a handful of times already.
Tuesday 1:55 p.m. update - Posted by Mike Williams a couple hours ago ... Charlie Strong doing a visit at his school.

Monday 8 p.m. update - Not a big surprise, but Texas has made the top three for DT D'Andre Christmas-Giles. I've said this a few times, but I feel really good about where the Longhorns stand.
Monday 7:30 p.m. update - No real surprise here, but DT Mike Williams tweeted that he'll decide on NSD between Stanford (current commitment), Texas and SMU. I don't really consider SMU to be a factor.

Monday 5:30 p.m. update - Looks like you can scratch the chances of Parrish Cobb visiting Texas this weekend.

Sunday 9:55 p.m. update - There's a report out there that DT Stephon Taylor is down to Texas and FSU. I texted Taylor to confirm and he was pretty adamant that he has not limited things to those two schools.
I could certainly see it coming down to those two and I'm not sure exactly what was said in the report, just relaying to you all what Taylor told me via text a few minutes ago.

I still have not connected with a few of the guys who were in town this weekend (they're not talking to anybody from what I can tell) but I have checked on a few things.
Apparently there's some rumor floating around that Eric Cuffee was sent home early from his Arkansas official visit recruiting for Texas. I talked to a source and said he was not sent home. That part is untrue. However, I was told Cuffee was talking up Texas quite a bit and it was brought to the attention of the folks at Arkansas.
A source close to Erick Fowler told me tonight that Erick has pretty much shut it down following his LSU visit. He will not be taking any other visits and will not be doing any in-home visits. I was told the LSU visit went very well. "It's Texas or LSU. Everyone will know on Signing Day," the source said. Honestly, I don't have a feel for this one. I've thought for a long while it's close to 50/50 so it's a tough one to call.
More and more buzz about Kyle Porter leaning to TCU. I mentioned in my Michael Williams update that Williams predicted Porter to the Horned Frogs. Another source told me tonight he believes it's TCU as well. However, that's mostly people trying to put together a clear picture from an incomplete puzzle because Porter isn't saying much to anyone.
I believe it was a very successful weekend for the Longhorns with the other prospects who were on campus. I'd consider Texas the clear leader for Jordan Elliott and Chris Brown, and I give UT a slightly better than 50 percent chance of flipping Michael Williams from Stanford.
Yes, top UT Texas Jeffrey McCulloch visited A&M this weekend. That one still sounds like it's all Texas based on the things I'm hearing.
I mentioned this on Saturday night, but multiple sources have indicated Texas is running away with the race for DT D'Andre Christmas-Giles. In fact, one very good source said Texas has already crossed the finish line in this one.
Don't look for Texas to bring in any official visitors next week, unless something changes. Dontavious Jackson coming in as an unofficial visitor may be the only person who is in town.
