Well OU it is!

Excellent. This is what the Big 12 hopes for I'm sure.

If we execute on offense we win this game. If Sam plays like today, which was complete shit, then we lose.

I think we hold OU to 35-38. Got to get 40+

We should welcome this opportunity....If we really want to re-establish ourselves at the top of the Big 12, that road goes through Okie....

No sympathy for WV. They're were 9/1 they lose a 17 point lead at OSU with the Big XII title at stake. Tonight at home is even worse fumbling twice against a mediocre defense who picks them up and scores two td's.

How's that horns down been working out for ya WV?

This is what fvcking sucks... it's damn near impossible to beat a team twice in one year. It's really hard. Here's what else sucks: Jerry Jones gets to brag about hosting a monumental game in his stadium. For the first time since what....1916ish.... Texas has to play blowU in a stadium other than the cotton bowl in Dallas. And Jerry gets to brag about hosting that. AND Jerry gets to be the host of the first time Texas plays OU twice in one season. He'll brag and brag and brag about that. Fvcking hate jerry. I'm sorry MM. I do. He's just a pos. And it kills me a little inside that jerry gets to host us. Kills me.

So Jerry will be the excuse if you lose? C'mon Clob. You know more football than that.

I'm ok with JJ bragging. Its who he is, love him or hate him. I love the Cowboys, and I'll always be a Cowboys fan despite JJ.

Two things that I'm ok with - playing the CCG at Cowboys stadium as long as the Texas/OU rivalry game never leaves the Cotton Bowl, and Texas beating OU at Jerry World. All will be right in the world with the Horns beating the Sooners twice in one season. Add to that, the Cowboys hiring Riley in the offseason to replace Garrett! to top it off!

Oh and last, but not least, OU SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you were absent the day they taught reading comprehension in 3rd grade.
"It's damn near impossible to beat a team twice in one year................". Especially two evenly matched teams........ does that clear it up for you sugar pants?

...against a mediocre defense...

Mediocre? That's the nicest compliment I've heard in weeks.

This is an unbelievably colossal Big 12 CCG coming up. It makes me a fan of the round-robin scheduling.

Here's to an injury-free, hard fought game where the outcome is determined solely by the play on the field, and not by overzealous officials.

A few thoughts on your reply. Just because they're playing each for the conference title a storied rivalry has been taken to another level.

I honestly thought the game in October was well officiated. Every penalty called was a correct call. I hope that the young fella that did the TX/OK game, Brandon Cruse, gets the call again.

I definitely wanted another shot at WVU, but we don’t deserve that - had our chance on the field at DKR and didn’t get it done.

Texas has an opportunity here. For the first time ever, we have a shot at beating ou twice in the same season. The game in Dallas was way closer than it should have been, and our players/coaches know that. They have an opportunity to show how much better Texas really is than ou. To finally, at least for a while, put a stop to the absolute absurdity of this “rivalry”.

Ou can stop nothing - NOTHING. Texas is going to run, and run, and run the ball all day. That’s all we’re going to need to do. Ou knows from playing us that LJ and CJ cannot he stopped by anyone in their backfield, so putting anything more than 7 in the box just isn’t an option for them. #26 has a huge day.

Todd Orlando now has ou’s entire play book - their whole season is on film. Texas D will at the very least be in position for whatever they can throw at us. I think KM gets frustrated early on, tries too hard to make a highlights reel, and makes some major mistakes. Ou cannot run the ball when they have to either.

Look, I get it - ou thinks they’re going to come in and get revenge and earn a spot in the playoff and blah blah blah. It’s not going to happen. Last game, they had to start desperately holding us in the 4th to get back in it. They know they’re outmatched physically. They know their QB has no heart. They know they were lucky to even get it close last time. Texas wins this game in a mid-to-low scoring blowout.

That game yesterday was a win/win for me. One of those Dbag fan bases was going to be heart broken. Now bring it on, blowu.
I have a feeling that the sadist in Scholz is a bit confused.... he usually only gets to have violent dreams about oklahoma once a year. This may prove to be too much for him to handle. =)roll

We beat TCU twice last year, but I don't think TCU and OU were evenly matched.

I kind of agree that the previous loss will give us a little more motivation. And your previous win might diminish your motivation some. But I'm going leave the "hunger" factor at even, because I think this group of TX kids is really, really sick of hearing about OU.

Also agree that these two teams are pretty evenly matched (overall).

This is about as good as it gets, besides playing for the natty.

Here's the fvcked up part....... usually when these two teams play they've saved a portion of their playbook early in the season, FOR this match up.

Now we get zero surprises. Everybody knows what the others playbook consists of. This is big.

I'm very excited about this rivalry game 2.0 but let's be real about OUR defense too. We haven't exactly shown that we can stop a high powered offense this season.
4th quarters have been disasterous to be honest. I'd love to see us hold sooners to the 20s but it's probably gonna be another shootout. Rematches suck but 2 shots across the border is pretty damn cool in my book.

I still can’t stop thinking about Texas being 11-1 going into this game and the winner earning a spot in the playoffs. O well at least I can dream. That being said it’s gonna be a fun game and beating OU twice in one year will be almost as good as a natty.

As soon as Vegas favors ou again, that's all we'll need.

MM...never was a bigger Cowboy fan than me...I was with them from the very formation.....However...JJ has beaten all the give a damn out of me ...He has kept the Cowboys mediocre for 20 plus years.....he is way more interested in feeding his ego than fielding a winner.

For me, the breaking point was when Jerry was publicly pulling for Bama against us in ‘09. I said that’s it for that red neck arkie. Won’t be a Cowboys fan as long as he’s there.

You either haven’t watched Murray or have no idea what you’re talking about. There has not been one time this year Murray has gotten down or frustrated or intimidated by the other team. If he turns it over, he takes it all in stride and battles right back through it. Not saying he’s invincible but if you think he gets rattled, may want to re-think and hope to just score every possession on our D. That would be more realistic.

They say if you say it enough times, you’ll start to believe.

Looks like Ohio State might beat Michigan. Will be interesting to see if Ohio State is ranked higher than oklahoma going into conference championship week. If Ohio State holds on, I bet they jump over okie. If not, you guys could be real spoilers.

Still wishing Georgia would beat Alabama by 1 point just to make the entire thing go crazy.

I can't fathom Ohio State jumping OU if both end up with 11-1 records. OSU's blowout loss to Purdue was bad. OU's loss to Texas was a much better loss.

We go in knowing we can beat them...rather than thinking we can beat them in October...OU now knows the physicality it takes to beat us. We hit them hard, so that element of surprise will not be there this time around...we shall see...

You might be right. But a 11-1 BIG10 Champ coming off a win over #4 would be hard to keep out. Ohio State is pretty similar to Oklahoma, but with a slightly less terrible defense. I don't think one has a much better argument over the other. Politics will make or break one team.

Oh I don’t think they were surprised at all by Texas’ physicality - they just couldn’t stop it, and they won’t be able to next Saturday either. On the flip side, ou has nothing that Texas can’t shut down if we’re in position.

Hey Bell....I read somewhere that the guys on 104 FM ( whatever in hell that is) were saying there was a good chance Murray was coming back next year. Have you heard anything on that? I admit to being laughingly sceptical of Murray before this year, but he has convinced me he is the real deal. I know all about the 5million A's contract, but when smoke comes out it seems to always indicate a fire.

Not that playing Murray again worries me....

There have been rumblings of this lately. I hope to heck he comes back next year, we’ll see.
