”For the last 70 years, hatred and violence have filled this small historic space we the Palestinians share with our Jewish brethren. There has been far too much violence and killing and pain and suffering among families on both sides. Today it ends. I extend an olive branch to the Jewish nation and ask that going forward, now, for our children and our grandchildren, and their children and grandchildren, we put down our weapons and extend our arms in a mutual embrace of peace, love, understanding, tolerance, education, and economic development. We seek to shut out the outside distractions and join the dynamism of the Israelis with the bursting energy of the Palestinian people in a New Way Forward to bring lasting peace and progress to our peoples, now and for the future.”

He be dead in five minutes, at the hands of his own, wouldn’t he?
