What is opinion on Warren transferring after this year ?

Warren is a perfect example of guys taking a step back with this offensive staff. Guy ran for 400+ yards in 4 games last year before his injury. He hasn’t looked like that guy this year, and on the rare times he does he doesn’t touch the ball again. Now the narrative is “well the O line. That’s certainly part of it, but we’re foolimg ourselves to boil every failure or setback down to the oline. He very well might transfer though because Carter and Young have looked like they have real promise.

Warren regressed. Line doesn’t help. But he is too heavy and slow. No acceleration. He’s probably a short yardage specialist like a Cody Johnson at best. You probably don’t know who he is though since your a south Florida fan.

Brandon Jones was a punt blocking machine and this year we haven't blocked squat ! Our kicker is 50 percent on field goals! Buechele threw for 3000 yards as a freshman let that sink in a minute! Why not run some mis direction plays with speedster John Burt or Duvernay ? Seem like Heard would throw a better half back option pass to me? Shuttle pass works well when line lets defense penetrate like ours does ! How about rolling Qb out away from pressure since we can't pocket pass? Use some imagination geesh!

Been following Texas football since 96. Born and raised(at least part of my life) in Texas. But keep calling me a strong lover and questioning my intelligence and all that. I know you don’t have much else to argue with right now.

For the recored. I’d buy the he regressed argument but you could say that about virtually every key offensive player on this team Gotta look at coaching at that point.

The offense can certainly improve but back to warren he’s no foreman, he can’t handle 250 lbs. he’s too heavy. Maybe 230 max. His speed would improve a lot.

Before the season there were two players I thought had to stay healthy and if lost could completely change the outlook or even derail the season: Connor Williams and Shane B. (because the only other scholarship QB on campus is a true freshman) By the USC game both guys were out.

And if you told me before the season started that out of this starting six on OL: Williams, Vahe, Shack, McMillon, Rodriguez, Beck- Only one guy would (maybe) play the whole season (Vahe) and Terrel Cuney (3rd string Center) Kerstetter (3 star true frosh Guard), Nickelson (2 star JUCO), and Cade Brewer (true frosh) would be your starting Center, Tackles, and TE for most of the season my head would have exploded. The talent/experience out their on offense is very weak minus maybe 2-3 WR's (no i don't need recruit rankings from high school when I can watch them play in college with my own eyes)

I also would have been surprised that Young/Carter would pass up Warren and Porter this fast. And to the original question on Warren he needs a hole to be effective he is not quick enough to create on his own.

Despite all this I want the coaches to get more out of the offense and have concerns about Tim Beck, but I'm not going to pretend I'm a coach and know what I'm talking about in that regard.

Warren needs a position change. We've had a couple of backs spin down to DL in the past.

Not sure where would be best place for him, but it's not running back.

I liked the idea of TE. He seems to catch well and once the guy gets going he's a challenge to bring down but he can't pick up the speed from out of the back field to the line of scrimmage.

Yeah, but his weakness is blocking which is kinda important with the TE position.

True but he can be developed and plus TE blocking is a little different than RB blocking. He can also transfer and hope that his playing time and touches are a lot more than he's getting now.

I doubt he's changing positions. Not sure what he thinks of his NFL chances, but if he feels he has a future I doubt he's transferring and sitting a year only to have 1 year left. Regardless I wouldn't care either way. He isn't a difference maker for this team, and stats against Tech's D should almost come with an asterisk because that's barely a step up from high school.

If Morris goes to A&M I wouldn’t be shocked if Orlando is a top target for the SMU gig. I’d say it’s 50/50 Orlando is the DC next year right now. Gonna be a lot of head jobs open this year. Figure he’s gonna be on a few lists.

Yeah, something about him just doesn't add up. He has all the talent and size to straight up Lendale White defenses.....but doesnt.

Unless he can grad x-fer not sure he would sit a year to play a year.

Sumlin is gone and aggy donors want Morris (bad fit in my opinion) and that will open up the SMU job.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they come after Orlando.

I've been to two SMU games this year. Morris is as good as they will ever get, they have an exciting product, a first round pick at WR, are in the thick of it for a division title, and .... their fan support is the worst in D-1. Morris is the consummate salesman - and can't get anyone in the stands. Downright depressing. Be careful Coach Orlando.

Morris isn't getting the AtM job......rumors are it's Chip Kelly, Nick Saban or Bill Belichick. There are waaaayyy to many resources like the SEC, facilities, recruiting hotbed, unlimited football funds and most importantly prestige at a program like AtM for one of those three guys to turn that down.

I would be shocked if any of the above 3 would lower themselves.

I heard that a realtor was digging up V. Lombardi. Nothing but the best at dead dog.

He's a good back. He's being benched so he doesn't think he can go to the NFL or some such nonsense. He'll make more cash as a higher picke when he runs wild with a better O-line next year.

Can you tell me who he's run wild against? Go look and post them.
