This board got me thinkin'. With our demographics, what is the actual best labor participation rate for our society right now?
1960s was as low as 58.5%, then more women start coming in the workforce. Peaks around 66-67% in the 1990s. 2008 recession it starts to go down, then levels off in 2014 at 63% and stays around there until Covid. Covid hits, it drops a couple points, now inching back up, to 62.4%.
