What is Wrong With the Democrat Party......

Man, I'm starting to think he's legit trolling. That would be hilarious. Cali, if this has all been one giant trolling...you sir would be absolutely legendary!

Either you're really good at stirring up the pot, or you've decided to unleash the extreme left beast that's been under wraps for too long.

One way or the other we've all been entertained and for that, I thank you. Bravo

Fresh, I think that you're over thinking this and giving him way too much credit. You can't fix what someone can't comprehend that is broken.

Didn’t know where to put this, but did anyone see the attempted killing on a stage of Salman Rushdie yesterday? Looks like he is going to pull through, but going to lose an eye.
For those unaware of who Rushdie is, in 1988 he wrote a book about the Muslim faith and the Kuran called “Satanic Verses”. He was velified by the faithful followers and the Ayatollah Komenhi and declared “fatwa” on him, which is an open book to kill him in any way. He went into exile for over a decade, but over the last couple decades has been more in public and actually doing engagements. He was a big proponent of freedom of speech and expression.
It was a big deal in the’80’s and I guess it finally caught up to him.

cesTrolling you have the nerve to say that?

I never watch CNN haven't for a longtime. Matter of fact the previous chief at CNN had to resign and was replaced by a republican. And there has been an increase in republicans at CNN. Don't watch MSNBC either.

Look conservatives have Fox news, OAN, talk radio. And yes CNN. Why is all this not enough? You guys want all major outlets to be republicans that's what's fair to you.
Dang man, typical Dem behavior, projecting your incessant trolling MO on me and then accusing me of trolling.......

Just so you guys know-- Treasury will be hiring and training 84-87,000 new IRS agents in the next 2 years.

They will be exclusively hiring liberal arts majors that have social work/justice backgrounds, and they will attract them by offering to pay off their college debt for 5 to 8 years of service (depending on the debt amount).

These hyper-liberal kids are going to be armed and trained and then sent out to audit people that don't fit into their world view. People like............ you. They'll use the full force of the federal government to break you. You'll be forced to sell your oil royalties, they'll seize your cars, any possessions you have (like your firearms) will be taken by them and sold to pay your tax debts. This will be another prong in their oppression wheel. But it won't be seen as true oppression. Why? Because the public and media will see you as a criminal because the IRS has declared you a criminal......

This is how they'll beat you. With badges. Not with jack boots.

Little known fact, IRS agents can arrest you on site if they find something or if you impede the auditor. Just like our good guys, game wardens, IRS agents do not legally require a warrant.
Now they will be coming with heat and already scared of you.
Geeee, what could ever go wrong? Just wait until someone's granny gets cuffed over unreported bake sales. This just might be the tipping point. I hope not but we'll see..

Hey Cali, that enough tyranny for you? And make no mistake this is exactly what’s happening. Joseph Stalin would be proud.

Another very compelling reason not to disclose what arms you own.

Just wait until you hear the first news headline.."Man shot and killed in home by IRS agent."
Oh I've got a better one than that--
"IRS agent shot and killed in home of man he was auditing"---- then come to find out the IRS agent was there trying to confiscate firearms in order to sell them for a tax lein.

I just don't see anything good coming from this. Has there ever been mass hirings at the IRS like this? also I didn't realize the magnitude at which the IRS buys ammo.

You guys got this all backwards. The IRS is needed to audit those 1%ers who have avoided taxes for years.

Now I know you guys don't really care about this your replies are proof of it. But 70% of the American people want those 1%ers to their fair share of the taxes.

According to people I respect the 1%ers are hiding more than 20% of their earnings. They also account for 36% of all unpaid federal income taxes. Over the next 10 years we can generate anywhere from 200 billion to 1.75 trillion.

87,000 new agents? Going after working class people? No our taxes are not complicated that's why it's easier for them to come after working class people. But the 1%ers taxes are very complicated. That's where the newly trained are there for it will take that many to do what's right. Which could than be used to invest in America.

Tyranny my ass. I doubt if they are going to hire a bunch of liberal arts majors. And even if they do so what? If they do what is wanted in this IRA plan I don't care what they major in.

And @clob94 @GuaranteedFresh! those people can afford this. They won't have to sell s* it.

And why do you guys have such contempt for working class people and our concerns?

In the past, I didn't vote straight ticket. But, ever since President Trump came down the escalator to announce his candidacy and the democrats threw fits, threats and riots. My vote changed to total Republican. I had enough of Maxine's trash talk, Nancy's paper tearing antics, Adam's senseless rhetoric, Biden, The Squad, democratic leaders wearing African robes and kneeling (all for show, just once, in front of the media). I could go on. The democratic led destruction of cities. Just the hatred they spread is enough. Senseless over spending. Enough.

One can only wish this were the case.
Our current trajectory, coupled with the lack of pushback from "conservatives" ensures the USA will follow the failing European model.
Republicans voted for Infrastructure bill and Chip bill and got out-foxed by Manchin of the so-called Anti-Inflation bill. Biden takes undue "credit" of course, and Republicans may have blown their mid-term election majority. Hope not.

Oh boy......

Ok. Let's start with your 1%ers.

The 1%ers that you speak of can afford top flight tax attorneys. Not "accountants" (which is what IRS agents and CPAs are) because accountants are simply bean counters. 1 bean + 3 beans = 4 beans.
Tax lawyers know the LAW. IRS agents "kinda" know the law.
The 1%ers, every year, go to their lawyers and say the following--

"OK guys, we owe $5 million in taxes this year. Whatever you can get this down to, we'll pay you half the savings."

3 months later the 1%er now only owes $3 million. The tax lawyers saved him $2 million. So the lawyers get half that savings-- $1 million. So the 1%er went from shelling out 5 mil to the government TO 3 mil, and paying the layers 1 mil. So he's out 4 million instead of 5 million.

Now the HUGE corporations like Amazon-- here's how they pay no taxes:

Near the end of the year their TAX LAWYERS walk in and say "Hey Jeff, Amazon is going to make 10 billion this year in profit. So, you need to find something to SPEND 10 billion on to negate that profit."

So Bezos buys 10 billion in new trucks and trailers. Amazon's fleet gets bigger-- and because he is re-investing that 10 billion in his company, he pays no taxes on it. Wallstreet finds out Bezos just bought 10 billion in new transpo vehicles making their delivery times more efficient and Amazon stock goes up by 5 dollars-- since Bezos owns 10 million shares of stock, his net worth goes up by 50 million and the IRS can't do one fvcking thing about it except smile, and take it.

Now. These 1%ers you want so badly to pay more taxes, won't. Their lawyers are better than and smarter than the IRS.
So that means the IRS is going to target lower income people that CAN'T afford tax lawyers.

People like you and your family, Cali.

An Anti-inflation bill that does nothing to help curb inflation for 2 years and half of it is spent on the green energy boondoggle.

Let's all get together and start a fake company that does some horse sh!t green energy miracle and see if we can bilk the idiots in DC out of a few hundred million so we can all move to the Bahamas.

So, you think newly-hired IRS agents will outsmart the savvy lawyers of the 1%. No, they will come after average folks. The deep-state continues to grow exponentially.

Al Gore has gotten rich off his Inconvenient Truth claims that have not come true. Moreover, if China, Russia, India, and the 3rd world counties are not onboard (they may pretend to be, but they are not) our climate control efforts here in the US are largely futile.

Of course they won't out smart the 1%ers tax lawyers. I've watched it happen my entire life. So when these IRS agents get tired of having their dicks knocked in the dirt by 1%er lawyers, they'll go after people that make 75-100k a year. Those folks can't afford lawyers. Hell, they use H&R block to do their taxes. They'll find some accounting or deduction error that was an honest mistake, slap on a fine, tack on interest and the poor schmuck who just had a new baby and just bought a house will have to get on a 5 year payment plan that will stretch that fine from $10,000 out to $25,000.

And @outhereincali didn't realize that he was supporting this, but because he thinks he can play "gotcha" with rich folks, this will be the fallout. He will end up supporting a bill AND a political party that ends up going after the middle class. He didn't mean to support that, but he's had the wool pulled over his eyes.

I'm as anti-big government as they come but I'm not too concerned about this IRS hiring program. There are significant practical hurdles to implementing what has been discussed in the press. BTW: there is a lot of misinformation on both sides. A few observations (I'll post a more detailed explanation later today):
  • The reported 87k new hires would be over a ten-year period. During that period, about 50k employees are also scheduled to retire resulting in a 37k net increase in employees.
  • Recent IRS headcount is 79k. The 37k net increase is still over a 40% increase in headcount over a ten-year period.
  • Likely very few of the 87k new hires will be armed, thug booted agents. The only IRS agents that carry arms are in the Criminal Investigation Division. The CID special agents typically work with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies going after non-filers, tax evasion, and other material criminal tax fraud cases. So, I wouldn't be worried that there will suddenly be a large army of tens of thousands of armed IRS agents ready to break down my door; not happening.
  • IRS agents that audit individuals, small businesses and corporations have accounting backgrounds and do not carry firearms.
  • The 87k new hires also includes much needed customer service reps and other operations support personnel. So, not all of the 87k will be IRS agents. If the IRS appropriations in the Inflation Reduction Act is any indication, $45.6b of the $80b is for enforcement activity (close to 60%).
  • I question how many actual IRS agents can be hired over that ten-year period. My guess is far fewer than planned. Tax professionals are highly valued and there is a very low unemployment rate for those employees. I.e., there aren't tens of thousands of tax professionals available to be hired.
  • Another practical hurdle: current HR and training capacity. The IRS doesn't have the current HR and training systems/processes in place - in my opinion - to bring on that many planned new hires.
  • I'm more concerned about the administration's plans for the $80b than I am about the administration's ability to actually implement and execute - too many internal and external factors weighing against successful execution.

Oh I'm fully confident in the governments ability to fvck things up. They'll do the same here. But I'm more focused on their INTENT. And a net increase of 40% IRS employees is NEVER a good thing.

And fyi-- more IRS agents carry than you realize.

Ok, let's take a look outside of the cookie cutter headlines by progressive media outlets.

They and yourself claim it's all about those greedy 1%ers not paying their fair share although they account for close to 80% of all tax revenue. The bottom 50% earners on average get a refund btw.
The rich pay tax law experts take advantage of our tax laws to minimize their exposure. To get more money out of them, the laws and exemptions would have to be changed because THEY USE THE LAWS ON THE BOOKS TO THEIR ADVANTAGE.

So where else would more agents be needed? Ahh, the middle class is a good start. Many of us do our own taxes via TurboTax or those pop up tax offices like Liberty. Plenty use CPAs as well but not the majority. So, who's more likely to make an error with rental income/deductions ect.? Tax Attorney or Landscape company owners & employees?

The 2021 IRS annual report, which is publicly available, shows agents at the National Criminal Investigation Training Academy (NCITA) in Brunswick, Georgia, training for tactical raids in suburban environments.

The IRS-CI agents ran through a number of lethal force exercises, as well as weaponless tactics, and forced entry into buildings.

You think that's necessary in order to set an audit appointment up with Joe Billionaires personal tax attorney's office? 😆

Nope, anyone other than 1040ez filers will be hot targets and especially anyone claiming earned income. Now THERE'S a group that's unlikely to open their front door for federal agents.

Common sense is a favorite term of your progressive compadres, I just wish you all would use it.

It’s very important for people to remember that tax AVOIDANCE is 100% legal and should be practiced by all tax payers. You must take advantage of every deduction and credit available under the law because the IRS will not fix your mistakes if you fail to take advantage of what the law allows. Tax EVASION is illegal. The actual number of people engaged in actual tax evasion is probably far less than 1%.

There’s also research that has shown that a large percentage of taxpayers OVERPAID their taxes for years and years. Will all these new IRS audits go back and fix all those returns and send out additional refunds? Fat chance.

The IRS is not even necessary. The reason there’s so many tax code violations is because the tax code itself is so damn complicated. Yes, even poverty income level taxpayers have a hard time understanding if they qualify for an EIC. Hundreds of thousands of poor families don’t use it because of ignorance. But the IRS isn’t going to audit and fix those returns.

I’ll give you a clear example of tax evasion that’s screaming right in front of us all. The Clinton Foundation raking in BILLIONS in revenue that made them ridiculously wealthy. Less than 10% of it’s donations went to actual charities. It’s a fraudulent shell organization designed to shield or mask income from their political influence peddling activities. It’s a money laundering operation no different than organized crime cartels.

Or how about FJB taking tens of millions in kickbacks from overseas oil and gas deals through his son Hunter? I bet you a million dollars he has never reported that income!!

And you know what is also remarkable? Trump has had his taxes audited annually for over 30 years and NOT ONCE have they found any criminal violations of tax law. NOT ONCE!!

We agree that everyone should pay their “fair share “ but it’s not who you think it is Cali.

Oh I've got a better one than that--
"IRS agent shot and killed in home of man he was auditing"---- then come to find out the IRS agent was there trying to confiscate firearms in order to sell them for a tax lein.
I can vision Barney Fife situations especially with liberal arts majors packin and trying to enforce anything other than their philosophical bullshit that of liberal arts. 😂
