Where does Briles go from here?

Urban did nothing wrong and its funny a Texas fan talking about criminal behavior.
Take a hard look at all the off the field problems you have had over the years!

What the fk.

Urban has won exactly one NC with his recruits...and the NC he did win with his recruits, +/- 57 players were convicted felons.

Glass houses...

I just don't think he can get that scarlet letter from around his neck.

Look, let's all be real and stop dancing around it for the sake political correctness. If this happens at a football factory, like Miami in the 80's and 90's or Oklahoma in the 70s or 80's-- people would be like "well ya. What did you expect. It's the Caines or its the Sooners". BUT, because it happened at a private, religious, conservative, Southern, Baptist university, the sleeve factor goes up. I remember when I asked Chuck Reedy, who was recruiting me back in the day, if it was true that you couldn't DANCE on campus OR drink on campus even if you were 21.
He was like "yes, that's true. Baylor adheres to the core of Baptist values....blah blah blah".

So you go from a super conservative, incredibly strict school to a rape factory in 2 decades. That's the part that just blows my mind. Fvck I'm getting old.

Well, just keep in mind that Baylor's former basketball coach that didn't cover up rape at the conservative school (at least that we're aware of) but rather covered up drugs, alcohol, and... oh yeah, murder.... went on to work with a high school team, a minor league pro team, a college prep school, and now that his show-cause order is up... he's coaching at Southwestern Christian University, which frankly sounds like it's probably more conservative than Baylor. At age 72! Not a glamorous gig to be certain, especially for someone who'd been an assistant at Indiana, and head coach at OU, SMU, New Mexico, and Baylor... but he got fired for a scandal at that same "no dance, values" university over something horrific, got slapped with a show-cause order for 10 years, hopped around with whatever jobs he could get (including a ridiculous amount of jobs where people apparently thought, yeah, sure... he should oversee my kids!), and the year that the show-cause expired he got a job as an NCAA coach. At another conservative, Christian school.

So, stranger things have happened...

He's done for now. it all depends on the Show cause issue. But i could see the mid major route. Then maybe Vandy? Kentucky? or some other SEC school that is in the wannabe category. Probably not the one in Texas.

The interesting thing to me is Briles hasn't issued any denial or any statement whatsoever. Nor has any lawyer done so on his behalf.

Briles turned around a yearly doormat to a top ten team and some program could take a chance but would not want to see him at Ou or A&M. If Stoops left or retired seems like an OU type of guy and would A&M sell its soul to win the SEC west and more. Will Kingsbury get it done at Tech.A native Texan but will the heat be too high for any regional school to take a chance.Last,He has made enough money that he does not ever have to coach again.

What will happen to Art Briles? Let me tell you what will happen to Art Briles. He's 60 years old, he's too old to start over somewhere else, Bill Snyder not withstanding.

And why should he? Until Thursday he was making approx 5 mil a year. And once he gets his settlement money he'll be even richer.

He'll probably spend the rest of his days playing golf at his place on Horseshoe Bay.

I agree with everyone on this thread. He's an ***hole, but he's a rich one.
