I think Xavier Worthy is going to have a much better NFL career than college.

I know @Ketchum loves hyping up Worthy's college stats, especially in terms of all-time Longhorns, but he never felt "dominant" to me.

Assuming we are writing off his sophomore year to a broken hand (still think that was pretty weird), neither his freshman nor Junior season felt dominant.

It never felt like you could just shovel him the ball to make things happen. In fact it kind of felt the opposite. If we overfed him, it made the offense worse.

I always felt like Worthy should have been like Desean Jackson. I remember Jackson being in the national spotlight as an electric playmaker at a non-football school. Constantly on ESPN with highlights.

Here is a video of his highlights.

Am I wrong in my sentiment about Worthy? If he wasn't wide open and/or lots of space on a screen pass, was he liable to take the ball to the house?

It feels like he's going to have this electric and exciting NFL career and that comparatively, his time at Texas will seem underutilized.

EDIT 2:

I think the Worthy pouting routine in his sophomore season has a real effect on my perception of him. Also, not a whole lot of explosion in the PR game.

Very similar statistically with Punt returns being a big advantage for Jackson.
