Lincoln Riley isn't walking through that door any time soon.
Arnold looked rusty in his first start, but he settled down and looked pretty good. He might turn into a problem.

That will be a very tough game. You fear the aggy game? Ok. I don't, we'll kick their ass.
He's very talented. It doesn't change the point.Arnold looked rusty in his first start, but he settled down and looked pretty good. He might turn into a problem.
He's very talented. It doesn't change the point.
The OU roster simply doesn't compare to best teams in the SEC.
Wrong! It will always matter. If the Longhorns make the playoffs, it won't matter.
and it didn't impact the season at all. They beat us last year.
Wrong! It will always matter.
Oof, no better point to make than this.and it didn't impact the season at all.
A few thoughts...
a. It's about the future and the recruiting dynamics in-state.
b. A&M has a more talented roster than OU, even after all the departures.
c. A&M is a more important game this year... by far.
That will be a very tough game.
I know it's going to be tough for some of y'all, but the old ways of life in the Big 12 just don't matter as much any more.
They still matter some, just not as much. Denying that is denying the future.
OU isn't even a talking point on this board beyond this week.
Of course, they matter. They just matter less.
A&M's schedule is too soft for that IMO.Both aggy and ou look like 7 win teams. Both have major OL issues.
Yes I do, but I hope like hell you’re right. You fear the aggy game? Ok. I don't, we'll kick their ass.
so you think it will be a cakewalk. Got it.They look terrible on offense and their defende is not much better.
You've spent how much time thinking about it in 2024?I definitely understand your point of the article but losing to ou will never be downplayed or acceptable in my book.
Polk was the real stunner.@Ketchum agree 1000% on AD Mitchell. I just hope their QB can get him the ball enough. I question some of the guys taken ahead of him in round 2. Mconkey? Polk?
Correct. They just took the transfer DT we wanted in a head to head portal recruitment battle.
That was kind of a big deal and happened a couple days ago.
When do you expect A&M to be a true SEC contender?Question for those that think I'm wrong...
When do you expect OU to be a true SEC contender?
Do you not understand the nuance that makes those two games different? When do you expect A&M to be a true SEC contender?
Is your point that the A&M game matters more for recruiting when both programs are mediocre? If so, that doesn’t translate to writing off OU going forward. They have shown they care enough about this to fire venables if he doesn’t work out and go hire at the top of the available pool. And they have plenty of money and can sell the SEC just like we canDo you not understand the nuance that makes those two games different?

Same. Not sure how this became a questionA lot. The loss from last year still stings. It will sting until I walk out of the Cotton Bowl with a win in October.
Correct.
And before that...
Like I.said, I've done 100+ shows on Youtube in 2024 and almost none of them have been about OU.
Do you know how different that is?
Splain it to me like I’m fiveI can't believe the point needs to be explained. 🤷♂️
