Texas Defense Will Be Better This Year Than Last Year & Hold It's Own With The Offense - Prove Me Wrong

Lots of Reasons -

1. Let's address right out of the gate the "Assumed Deficiency" at the DT Position - ok we lost two allsome players - no doubt. But I think the coaching the new guys are getting is getting the recognition deserved - look at the practice reports - do you see/hear panic? Instead of two superstars Texas can go 6 deep, keep guys fresh, and have situational players depending on down/distance. I think this group is biggest positive surprise of the season. Been saying it since day 1 - Alex January is going to excel in this Defense.

2. The Edge finally we are at a point to reek havoc and get constant pressure on QBs with lots of speed to contain runners on the outside. We are 6+ deep at this position. We can't just bring pressure from one side - both DE on opposite sides of the line are 3 deep are guys that can get to QB

3. Linebacker is thin though I feel more talented than last year - Hill is going to have a monster year - Gbenda came back to prove something - Lefeau getting lots of praise and Blackwell is a solid back up.

4. DB's the starting 4 have much more experience - safety with Mukuba is much faster - again look at the 2 Deep solid and 3 deep - yes some are true freshman though are getting praise and some of the best of the best in the nation in HS & Rankings

5. Coaching - I think the new LB coach is awesome and loves to attack. DT coach - yes he has to learn to recruit, but Sark has a great track record picking assistants - look most on here including me had doubts about PK - and look at our D much better than any D in the last 14 years - again what are you seeing in practice reports about DTs - it's all good no panic - seems to be getting the most out of his players and developing them. Now with the Edge as the strength of the D along with very good LB play, and more experienced/better DBs I think we see PK get very aggressive.

Bonus reason - practice these guys have to go up against likely the top OL in the nation, a top 2 receiving corps, a 3rd year QB that is in Heisman contention. Even our #2's are good at QB O line, WR. How many teams have an offense as good as Texas - Ohio State, Georgia, and if Texas isn't next in that list they are damn close.

She went to breastfeed her child just minutes before Trump's rally in North Carolina on Wednesday.

The agent, responsible for event security, was found in a room designated for Secret Service work, accompanied by 2 family members, bypassing security protocols.

Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi stated that the incident did not affect the event but is under investigation.

The incident comes shortly after a would-be assassin shot Trump at a Pennsylvania rally in July, raising concerns over Secret Service preparedness.

Sundance and OBJuan have the heart of a lion

The Sundance Kid and OBJuan have the heart of a lion
and a lifetime ban from the zoo.

They told me to never play poker at the zoo.
Too many cheetahs.

But they did explain why frogs are so happy at the zoo.
The frogs eat whatever bugs them.

Did you hear about the kid napping at the zoo?
It is okay, the young goat woke up.

I know at least one poster really doesn't like these joke threads and called us all a tool.
So we got hammered and nailed his girlfriend. I guess he was right.

25 recruiting class

The season is about to start. So here is my best guess on this years class we are at 17 now and I think they add another 6-7 players.
They need a OT, WR, ATH, DT. DT, LB. CB.

1. OL.Brooks even though I could see him as a OG.
2. WR. Ffrench, STUD
3. Ath. Terry, he could play RB, TE, WR, Defense
4. DT. Mathis Jr
5. DT. Otis
6. CB/DB. Anding
7. LB/S Williams

We would rank 5 or 6.

Who's your favorite...

Band or classical composer? And why?

Notice, I did not say style or genre so you can't say rap or country or opera.

BTW, your choice is your choice so no criticism of someone else's favorite.

My choice: The band, Shindown. Great sound, lots of energy, lead singer has a strong voice that commands attention, loved the drummer, the usual stuff. The lyrics seem simple and just fun, but actually talk about things not often heard in music.

Texas offered Arkansas DL commitment Caleb Bell on Wednesday (the Longhorns also offer Florida commitment Joseph Mbatchou).

Bell, who committed to Arkansas in June, tells me he’s for sure going to consider the Texas offer and he’s in the process of scheduling a UT official visit for later in the fall.

SOLD!!! Selling 2 Tix in the shade on 10 yard line for UTSA game with chairbacks and Brazos parking pass!

I have two tickets for seats with chairbacks and a parking pass for the UTSA game on 9/14/24.

The tickets are really good, especially for early season games, because they are in the lower level under the overhang, so we are NEVER in the sun (or the rain). I am attaching a photo to give you the view (that was an 11:00am kickoff, so shade was lower during pre-game, but by noon shade only starts around Row 65).

Here are the seats and parking pass info:

Section 7, Row 73, Seats 9 & 10

Brazos Parking Garage (right behind Jester, so short walk to stadium)

I am selling them for (includes both seats with chairbacks and the parking pass): $275

Let me know if you are interested. You can either PM me or text me (972-740-1090)

OT: Condo Issues - Need Advice - Plus chicks for your trouble.

Team OB,

My daughter just graduated law school at Tulane and took the bar exam. She has a big law job lined up in Houston for next month. All is good in life, it is time to sell our condo in NOLA that she has occupied for over 3 years. We love the condo and it is in a great location etc., however, there is a problem with the building. This is the first, and only condo I will ever own.

The building is from the early 1900s and was completely renovated and converted from apartments to condo units around 2018. The first summer after moving in ( around 2021) we noticed some cracks in the plaster and dampness behind a hanging picture. It wasn't too bad but I called the property manager to see if the unit above ours had experienced a leak or issue. I was given the owner's name and info and I called him. It turns out he bought the unit (first owner since the conversion) for his son to live in while attending school. He said they had to move him out due to mold issues while they tried to figure out what the cause and remediation would be. The guy is a certified public insurance adjuster ( as luck would have it) and he knows construction and building codes and techniques etc very well) and owns a large firm that handles this type issue for commercial and private issues with insurance companies.

He hired an engineer to do a report and the condo board did too. I don't know all the details but the report said the developer did not follow several key code element for ventilation of the attic spaces and undersized and install ed the wrong type of AC unit. The net effect of all of this is that the upstairs unit in the NOLA heat and humidity is sweating into the walls and creating the damage and issues. I told him I was going to wait to do repairs on our unit (minor) until he had his repairs completed.

He has been trying to work with the Condo board and the property manager since to resolve his issues. The developer of the condos is also currently the property manager. This has been ongoing now for almost 2 years and he has since hired a local attorney. I have not approached the board about our unit officially, but the members are aware.

Our damage wasn't too bad but when we went last week to mover her out, there is another significant area of damage and it is starting to cup some of the wood floors = all still minor. I had really counted on selling this condo pretty soon after graduation, but now I feel stuck and not sure what to do next. I would have to disclose these issues for the sale so it seems I need to join in the action to get the repairs done.

People with experience, what am I in for and what is the logical next step for me? Attorney to contact the board, just fix it and list it, insurance claim (won't pay for mold etc). Any advice appreciated.

A lot of chicks for your troubles:
