Move to coral if needed, but this just made me laugh.

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Official Masters of the Air Thread 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 (spoilers)

I’m through the first two episodes. I’ll have more thoughts later, but here’s a few initial reactions:

—Those kids were clueless as to what they were getting into. I don’t think I’ve ever realized that until now. They really didn’t know how bad it was gonna be.

—Going up the first time is understandable because they were clueless. Going up again and again? Those guys had balls that would come in a dump truck.

—The B17 is one of my all time favorite aircraft. She was pretty, and she could take damage like nobody’s business.

—The extreme cold on those missions is beyond comprehension.

—it’s going to get a whole lot worse in episode 3…

Losing to WVU and UCF

The two games that will haunt us until we play our final game in March. Texas is a solid team but every game we play carries so much weight because we are playing from behind. Losing to Iowa State at home sucks, but it happens. We had a bad night. The problem is these games have become must wins. We can never truly make up for those two losses.

Jennifer Crumbly guilty of involuntary manslaughter

Thoughts on this case? Mother of the Oxford high school shooter was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. Reason is she didn't get her son mental counseling. The kids father bought the weapon for him.

This is a slippery slope. I am for parental responsibility but will we see this in every day cases around the cities. Is any parent who buys their child a gun going to be arrested if he shoots someone?

WBB - Longhorns up to #7, Signees Jordan Lee and Justice Carlton

Texas climbed 5 spots to #7 followings wins last week over then #13 Baylor and #2 KSU. Baylor dropped to #18, KSU to #8 and Big12 leader OU (sux) entered the poll at #25 - they were last ranked 2.5 months ago. As mentioned in the KSU game thread, #2 has been cursed this season but evidently that's not uncommon.

"DEUCES WILD: Only once in the past 15 years has a team been No. 2 all season long: Stanford in 2009-10. It's been a volatile spot lately. In the 2018-19 season, the No. 2 position changed 10 times, the most in that span. There have already been seven No. 2 teams this season."

Change of Topic:

I wouldn't be surprised to seeing incoming freshman Jordan Lee take over the SG spot after Shaylee's departure. Not to downplay Shaylee's contributions the past 2 seasons but I'd say Lee's the better, more consistent defender with the ability to guard 1-3. Ranked #7 in 2024, Jordan is a better athlete and is widely regarded as one of, if not the best, perimeter defenders in this class.

Roadmap to Good President

Assumption: Biden, Harris, Trump & ??? are on the ballot.

Biden - his wits have deteriorated to the point the WH turned down $M’s of free TV time at Super Bowl.

Harris - mental midget. Should not be in charge of a Dairy Queen.

Trump - old, corrupt and a lunatic.

????? - Trump chooses sane VP nomination.

Trump wins. Dems impeach and convict him (with a few R defectors).

Sane, competent VP is now a sane competent President.

Choice compares Texas RB Jaydon Blue to Jahmyr Gibbs

“Speed-wise, he (Blue) is very similar to Jahmyr Gibbs, because he’s fast and he can catch the ball out of the backfield,” Choice said. “They’ll look a little different in how they play the game, but the more Blue matures, he has a chance to be better [than Gibbs].”

Better than Gibbs? That’s huge praise

Is this the most anticipated spring ever for Texas football?

Hear me out because obviously 2005 had a lot of energy coming off that Michigan rose bowl win. Not making comparisons to that team

18 early enrollees from a top 5 class. Most ever for Texas

The 2024 schedule is easily the best schedule ever for Texas. Texas is part of 4 of the top 15 most anticipated games according to ESPN

The renewal of several rivalries

The Arch manning hype will shift into overdrive

Texas heading into the best conference in college football

Transfer portal additions

Recruiting at an all time high

Texas ascending into one of the top programs in college football

Texas the only playoff team returning it's head coach

Wow, game changer for sports viewing in the future: ESPN, Fox...

This is has been brewing, and seems to be coming about as a new way to view sports in the future:
