74 -72 in 7 overtimes?

I saw the interception and looked away and then one of my buddies looks up from his beer and goes "Wtf? Why does aggy still have the ball? I though lsu picked it off...". Next thing you know, aggy scored and the rodeo ensued. Anybody know why the interception was called off?
Mond's knee was down before he threw the pick.

Why are aggies on a Longhorn sports board defending themselves to non-Texas fans, over a game that has nothing to do with Texas?

The harder you try defending yourselves, the more it looks like you know it was trash.

You squeaked away your questionable win, so just be done with it.

Would you be going to all of this trouble to justify the horrible officiating if aggy would have been on the receiving end of it and had lost the game? No one is buying your propaganda. Go over to texaggy and have a circle jerk there. a&m sucks!
Actually, you are correct, I should have just let the circle jerk about the 4th and 18 not being reviewed to see how many got roped in on that nonsense.

Enjoy your 8-4 season and being irrelevant for the umpteenth year. Same results every year. a&m is wannabe program. The $EC is using a&m, but aggy is too stupid to see that. Obsession noted that you're on a Longhorn board trying to spin your fluke win over a not so good LSU team. The $EC is nothing special outside of Alabama.

don't mind losing to a respected opponent on a level playing field. To lose to A&M in any way is an embarrassment. So, yeah i'm a bit pissed.

I hear ya man. I was pissed off for y'all. Been a tough year for LSU with officials. First the bullshit targeting on Devin White, now this complete debacle.

Look for to welcoming you guys to Austin. Maybe we even get bowl game matchup this year to break the ice. Good luck to y'all otherwise.

Wow....lots of hot sports opinions on here. A&M caught all of the breaks...no disputing that. I didn't see any blatant bad calls though.

The Sternberger incomplete was too close to overturn IMO. If they would have called a fumble on the field it probably would have stood. Knee down for Mond could have gone either way, and the spike hit the ground with a second showing. Other than that...a crazy game.

You can't be serious.

The worst non call was the Williams illegal procedure. I mean how do you miss a back moving a full second ahead of the snap. I'm not talking about the one where he went in motion, I'm talking about the one where he flinched. 2 LSU LBs are pointing at him and the ball is snapped and he gets 10 yds. So instead of 1st and 15 from the 30, it's 1st and 10 from the 15. That was a big no call and impossible for any ref to miss. I mean what else is the referee looking at pre-snap? PI was BS as well. Rest of the calls made more sense, but the fumble sure looked like a fumble. Looked like he caught the ball and was moving it to the off hand when he got hit.

a&m puffing out their collective chests like they've done something special, lol. It was an overtime win with no defense played and a game that the refs handed to them against a mediocre LSU team. Meh.

Umm..yeah. I said we got all the calls....which one was irrefutable? And who is puffing out their chest?

You said that you didn't see any blatantly bad calls, lol. Come on, man. LSU got hosed big time and a&m was the beneficiary. For you to say that there were no "blatant calls" is ridiculous. aggy everywhere are talking about how this was such a courageous showing by their team, big win, etc. I suppose it is for aggy after all of the beatdowns from LSU all of these years. Enjoy your 8-4 season. Nothing has changed. Still the same ol a&m.

Name one call they get hosed on? I already said that the Mond knee and the TE fumble could have gone either way....nobody got hosed. A&M got VERY lucky and had some beneficial calls. And sorry horn fans...I am going to enjoy every single W....regardless of your opinion on it. :)

Oldschool,

Not sure if you have seen this article yet or not.

Pretty good take from a referee (I think a supervisor now) on all of the calls. As I think you noted and the article does too, the fumble was really close. The first down mark that a lot of people are complaining about was a television error. Basically, a lot of 50/50 calls for the most part or calls where we as fans don't understand the intricacies of the rules.

The PI was the only one I thought was complete shit.

The fumble is what it is...nobody knows WTF a catch is anymore.

I think the biggest gripes are about the refusal to even look at some of these plays. No excuse to not look at the fumble in such a game.

Can't you guys just be happy with your 24-17 win over Kansas and your impending appearance in the Big 12 Championship Game? Jeez

We are, but making fun of aggy never gets old. =)roll

Not only does it not get old, but in this case, it can't get any easier, we don't even have to leave home....I mean sodbusters are suddenly all over our board instead of on their own, celebrating their biggest win since the Roosevelt presidency....

And aggy is here looking for kudos and validation, lol. I'm not sure what was so impressive about beating a mediocre LSU team. And for their fans to storm pyle field after the game like it was some monumental victory is hilarious. BTW, I thought that it was disrespectful to storm sacred pyle stadium grass after a game? I guess that only applies to opposing fans after their team gets beat in their stadium and their feelings are hurt. The fake army corps turds then think that they have to "defend" pyle. aggy jokes write themselves. =)roll

Well, they can't pull their swords anymore.... that crap ended in 1995.

Only a dishonest aggy would say there were no BS calls. Good lord, give me a break. That was the clearest home cooking screw job I've ever seen in the SEC. And that's saying a lot. There were several. Here was the rule of thumb for the refs:

A) aggy incomplete pass? Throw a flag.
B) aggy run out of time? Put more time on.

Plays that should've ended that game that aggy ref screwed LSU on:
  • 4th and 18 play was clearly short. Not reviewed.
  • Sternberger clearly fumbled. Not reviewed.
  • Illegal formation on spike play. Not reviewed.
  • Phantom PI call on 2-pt conversion
  • Not even mentioning the adding 1 second or the knee.

I seem to remember texas backing into a big 12 championship by getting a second added????? Nah, that would never happen.

That was a play was “confirmed”. Very different than “the play stands”

Thanks for watching big bro in a Big 12 Championship game.

Also you didn’t remember correctly we won the B12 game against Nebraska that year we didn’t “back into” anything. 2009 B12 Champs went on to play the Tide for an NC. You guys never been to one of those right?

More blatant aggy lies. Any honest person knows that was the right call. Btw learn how to spell aggy.

I'm on your side of most of these, but

1 - That drive started on the aggie 47, which meant the LSU 43 was the first down marker, kid was down at the 41 and 1/2 yard line...first down
2 - inexcusable to not review this play
3 - It looked like a legal formation to me...I didn't see 5 men in the backfield
4 - PI was absolute horse shit
5 - clock ran out as per the rule book

aggies were extremely fortunate to win this game, but good grief LSU...I thought you guys had a supposed NFL stacked defense???? They let Kellen Mond rip them to shreds.
